Ingen städning på torsdagen. Städerskan knackade på dörren vid 09 då vi inte var klara ännu och låg i sängen. Sedan öppnade hon dörren då vi inte öppnade men förstod vi inte var klara, men sen blev det aldrig någon städning av rummet fast vi var borta på frukost länge och gick ut från ca 12:30.. Det var dåligt.

Very friendly staff, clean and well located

Sehr freundliches Personal, von der Reception bis zum Frühstück. Man fühlte sich stets wilkommen. Gutes und reihhaltiges Frühstücksbuffett, Lage direkt beim Schlosspark, gutes ruhiges Zimmer und gute Preis-Leistung. Es wäre eine vollwertige kleine Küche im Zimmer vorhanden.

Die Zimmertüre lässt sich von innen nicht zusätzlich verschliessen. Das Design der Dusche ist etwas mühsam; das ganze Badezimmer wird bei deren Benutzung nass.

The property was very quiet and well located near a quiet pretty park. The buffet breakfast was very good with nice quality food - homemade jam very good - and a decent selection to choose from.

There were some renovations works going on which didn’t cause any noise but were a distraction. The room facilities were clean of an ok standard for the price - but everything is expensive in Norway!

Everything about the hotel was pleasant, the free WiFi was very fast, the in-room Chromecast TV system worked perfectly for streaming my own Netflix/Prime/iPlayer content and breakfast was amazing.

It would have been helpful to have a card in the room explaining the hotel facilities. For example I didn't realise there was free tea and coffee in the reception until day 2 of my stay.

breakfast room was too crowded / too noisy to really enjoy the breakfast view from the room (boring parking / office building) finding an affordable parking space nearby can be challenging

The hotel is across from The Royal Palace park and next to Oslo Bikes, a bikeshare in Oslo. Biking around Oslo to move around worked well for me. The breakfast buffet is beautiful with lots of Norwegian foods to sample as well as breakfast staples like scrambled eggs.

Very good location and easy to find. Reasonably central but not overly noisy. Excellent breakfast.

The staff around the hotel were generally very good - cleaners, breakfast room staff etc. The staff on reception could do with a little more training. They were not proactive in offering information and one actually ignored us when we stopped at the desk, then we realised she was on a phone call but using her hands-free headset. She could have acknowledged us and just pointed to the headset!

breakfast. though again a bit unorganised and chaotic, staff running around, don’t have time to take care of you. not their fault though, it’s just a huge room with big turnover.

I chose this hotel based off of reviews so i felt massively let down as I’ve had the opposite experience as to what the reviews suggest. we’ve stayed in many budget hotels before and never had to switch rooms. This hotel is NOT cheap!! But when we arrived, we were given a room without a kitchen even though we paid for a kitchen. there were also no toiletries etc , room wasn’t really ready. we were moved to a different room with a kitchen which ended up being so super tiny and as we started to settle in, I found a DIRTY T-SHIRT ON THE FLOOR IN THE CORNER!! there’s no way anyone hoovered or mopped that floor or they’d have found that!! I was horrified!! We were then moved AGAIN, to a bigger room but on a lower floor and no balcony which we also paid for. at that point we just accepted because we wanted to get on with our trip and not just continue to switch rooms all day. and the man said they don’t have lots of rooms with kitchens. I was super disappointed as in sunny evenings we’d love to have sat on a balcony with a view but we didn’t have that :( the room also wasn’t that clean, there was so much dust in the wardrobe etc, furniture in this hotel as well is all super random and half of it is dirty. the balconies I saw were massive but with random dirty plastic chairs. what is that about? we stayed for 4 nights and our room was hardly cleaned - beds made and some towels replaced and that’s it. I would never stay here again and would never recommend someone to stay here. the location is ok but it’s not that amazing, saw hotels in better places within the same price range.

Room was very small

We had a superior double room which was very nice with the unexpected bonus of a small balcony. There was also cooking facilities as well as a microwave oven. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. For the price we paid and in the center of Oslo we could not have expected more. Breakfast is particularly worth a mention at this hotel and well worth the price. There is a good range of things to try and they even managed to provide fried eggs that were actually warm, a bit of a rarity these days.

It is a shame there is no hotel bar as these are often good places to wind down before going to bed but the sky bar at the Raddison Blu is just a two minute walk away which is some compensation. Our bathroom though perfectly functional was perhaps little on the small side but that wouldn't really put me off. Although the room was cleaned each day our coffee was not replaced which was probably just an oversight. Nothing too bad for us to complain about for our stay here and we left with a positive view of the place.

The impact sound was insufficient. You could hear every footstep from the room above.
