Great location. We were able to park at the hotel which allowed us to explore on foot. The staff were very friendly and we were made very welcome. We enjoyed meals and drinks at the hotel. Would certainly recommend.

Another excellent evening spent at The Crown. We arrived early and had lunch before we checked in with great food and generous portions. Check in was quick and easy and room was clean and comfortable and we were able to park on site. Location was great with Burghley House just a short 30 minute walk away. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice.

The room was fairly small but didn't really matter given we were only staying for 1 night.

Fabulous staff - friendly and helpful, beautiful stylish room, very comfortable bed, quality bed linen and towels and great power shower. Superb location and great food.

Very comfy and clean. Bathroom and shower were spotless and all in good working order. Bed was very comfortable.

Without doubt we had one of the best rooms we’ve ever stayed in. The bathroom, room size and bedding was outstanding. The location put us right in the middle of town with excellent parking facility.

A little more expensive than we would usually pay, but definitely worth it for a treat

The room amenities are good; facilities well provided for. The hotel location is conveniently placed within Stamford with excellent car-parking arrangements.

We had a ‘cosy’ room, which was still decorated to a really high standard and felt really comfortable and welcoming. The en-suite shower room was modern, clean and stocked with The White Company miniatures. The shower was powerful and the towels provided were lovely and soft! Staff were able to check us in earlier than 2pm and we were able to park in the hotel car park to the rear of the hotel. Once we put bags in our room, we decided to see if we could get a table for lunch as it was busy, had a good atmosphere and the food looked really nice. Staff were really accommodating and we had a tasty ploughman’s platter to share. The included breakfast was a real highlight; we weren’t sure whether to expect a buffet style breakfast or not. Instead, we could choose from a proper breakfast/brunch menu ranging from yoghurt, cereals and toast to eggs royale or a full English - we went for the latter along with coffees and fruit juices. The location of The Crown Hotel is excellent and as first-timers to Stamford it was perfect for exploring the town. The only reason I haven’t scored 10 is that our room looked over the neighbouring wine bar which was a little noisy on a Saturday night but nothing that kept us awake for too long. We would definitely return!

Clean and tidy,

Hotel was clean and tidy. Lovely and warm when we got there coming in from the cold. Reception were lovely on check in.

Couldn’t figure out to turn heating off or open a window so room was really stuffy in the night. Could hear every thudding footstep of the guests upstairs. Even when they flushed the chain, had a shower and ran the taps. Was very annoying when trying to sleep and they came back to hotel around 1pm. The glass mirror table in the room next to the bed, was higher than the bed, causing my husband to smack his head on the corner of the table in middle of the night and creating a bump. Our room was out of the hotel, down the street and round the back of a town house. Felt weird. Breakfast was nice, but felt like we weren’t welcome by the guy who seated us. Even though was plenty of tables, seamed annoyed about us being a table of 6.
