Perfect location for us and a bonus of being attached to a pub

A little dated could do with a revamp

Couldn't get air conditioning to work, no instructions for it and member of staff couldn't really help explain it.

It’s a little dated the rooms but perfectly fine

it was central to where we wanted to be. good food at a reasonable price. breakfast was plentiful and tasted amazing. All the staff were so friendly, helpful and professional. And special thanks to Neil who has a great sense of humour and seemed to be everywhere doing everything.

it could do with a “coat of paint” but I understand it is having a refurbishment aug-dec 2023.

Amazing value and huge room. Huge bed.

The building is beautiful as are the grounds, staff are fantastic also.

The room was uncomfortable to be in, examples: Wallpaper coming off the walls in ours and the other 4 rooms our group booked. Mold in around all windows and growing through bathroom walls. This wasn’t a problem with cleaning it’s the building needing work, I know this from personal experience working in the commercial cleaning industry.

Rooms tired, need redecorating. Beds really uncomfortable didn't get much sleep.

The room was nice and had everything we needed. We were visiting family nearby. The breakfast was amazing!

I had the breakfast on 1 occasion out of 4 . Due to the disgusting condition of the room . And furniture that was frankly off putting . I get that the hotel is due for an upgrade , but supplying decent chairs would be a start . I can supply a photo. The cooked breakfast was also poor .

The staff in the restaurant were very good particularly the lady that was there every evening and friendly, The food was also good. Which is why I found the breakfast so dissatisfying. Why not use the pub area for breakfast? Cleaner and better furnished .

The humming noise in the bedroom was loud and hurt the eardrums everything else was perfect

I liked the staff The decor was tired The central heating was not working at all In the bathroom. We had to get a portable heater for the bedroom - one light bulb was not working. The lighting was dark. The parking worked fine. If it had not been for the fact that the staff were charming I would have really slammed this hotel for poor quality

See above Also the shower head was fixed and one could not have a shower using a hand held appliance

There was a weird smell when opening the door as the windows kept shut for a long time
