No hand wash in bathroom despite raising it to staff, sink was blocked. Not great value for money overall.

staff very friendly especially the manager that was working on Saturday night, she couldn't do enough for our family especially my autistic son. she put the bouncy castle up for us so he could have fun (apologies, I didn't get her name )

Location of the property.

Firstly they put me and my family at either ends of the property even though we requested to be close to each other so we asked to be moved and we were put in a disabled room, the facilities were tattered, dirty and got bitten, breakfast was very disappointing (the mushrooms still had dirt on them) all in all, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Way too expensive for what you get!

It’s a bit tired in places. The hall carpets on the floor I was in is filthy.

This hotel is great for a city break in Edinburgh! Really great value for money with little eating spots & pubs nearby. You're just enough out of the city centre but not too far to walk to the main hotspots (about 15mins) or a short walk to the station with frequent trains running into Edinburgh that take only 4mins. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly with any needs. We were also given complementary drinks upon check-in. Taxi drop off right outside the front door too. Rooms are really spacious, clean and comfy. We travelled with our young baby and there was enough room for all our stuff, pram and travel cot. Highly recommend.

Hotel was really nice. Room was spacious and very clean with modern facilities. Got a lovely welcome pack with some treats. In a good location close to a tram which brings you close to city centre.

There was maintenance work being done in the room next door and we weren’t notified of this. This resulted in being woken up at by a loud drilling noise very early both mornings we were there. We would’ve preferred being placed in a different room with no maintenance happening next door or to be at least notified of the work being performed when checking in.

Fabulous reception from Lisa. Very clean everywhere. Great selection of food at the breakfast buffet.

4th floor stains on the corridor carpet and worn carpet near the elevator. Massive increase in the room rate over standard rate for the rugby weekend.

Room was comfortable, staff were very helpful and breakfast was plentiful.

There was roadworks going on but you can't help roads needing mended. A wee bit of a dander to centre but we didn't mind

Great property in a great location, perfect for exploring Edinburgh. Comfy and spacious room.

Some of the carpets, including the one in our room were stained and the woodwork needs repainting.

The staff didn’t clean the room complaining that there was one pants on one of the beds One elevator for the hole building The room was too small to fit 3 people

The hotel was in a great location with everything within reasonable walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff who greeted us were very friendly and helpful.

We had requested a cot for our toddler which was provided. However it came with no mattress and no bedding. On our way out for the day, we asked at reception for this to be fixed. When we returned at around eight in the evening, we found that this hadn't been done. So again, I went to reception to be told that it may be some time as there are only a couple of floor staff available. I explained what had happened earlier and that my exhausted toddler needed to go to sleep. Half an hour later, someone arrived with bedding. Only it wasn't for the cot but for the sofa bed. Again, still no mattress. Our toddler ended up in our bed for the duration.

Central location

Breakfast wasn't great food overcooked and hard been sitting far too long. Rooms very small and could do with upgrading the showers in the bathroom. Bar was never stocked appropriately and overpriced.

Room itself was clean & comfy.

The hallways were filthy with stained carpets and litter throughout the hallway for the 2 days we were there. Found the staff to be very rude when checking in and out. There was generally a bad smell throughout the halls and in the lifts.

Nothing unfortunately location was okay

Rooms are awful some 1 star hotels are better, rooms in a huge refresh, beds uncomfortable, rooms so loud. Hear everyone coming and going. Just awful. 10min walk from city centre shouldn't be allowed to say city centre hotel. Feel like I needed a shower when I left because our shower was so full of mould. Didn't sleep room so loud and hear everyone.

Great location and lovely staff. Facilities were great and good buffet breakfast.
