Parking was include.
Sadly we thought the hotel was tired. Our room needed maintenance and repainting. the lounge was sticky.
The Breakfast and Dinner were not at the standard I had hope. I asked for butter to go with my pate and it never came, Specials were offer at dinner, which were higher priced than everything else on the menu, and we only found this out the by asking.
Tables were far to close together in the dining room. and the cupboard doors under the Bfast bar need TLC.
We had a full body spa treatments in the Spa, I thought it was off being told that If I made a review on trip adviser my therapists got a £25 gift voucher, she said this 3 times - This is after I told her we had come away as a mini treat as we had to cancel our family holiday to Spain due to family illness.

Beautiful garden,swimming pool great
Bad coffee, found a used drug bag under our bed not good enough room should be cleaned and checked properly between guests

Despite a late arrival and very early departure the staff ensured that we had a packed breakfast. Without exception the staff were efficient friendly and helpful an excellent

Lovely staff who were ready and willing to help. Breakfast was tasty and had plenty of options. The room was clean and comfortable, if a little small, however, it wasn't overpriced for the size of the room so you get what you pay for!

Dinner and breakfast were really good although the menu options were fewer than previous visits. I would have like to see rib eye steak on the menu and steak baguettes because my recollection is that the beef was particulalry good.
Another guest damaged my car whilst parked overnight but that was not any fault of the hotel.
3.7
The location of the hotel was great. The hotel reception staff and spa reception staff good.
The overall spa experience was poor. The reception staff were excellent at every stage but the -spa treatment staff, experience - was poor as impersonal. The treatment was ok. This needs improving for a better overall experience for a client. I would not recommend the spa treatment experience at the moment.

Breakfast was Great. Good choice of Cold items & an excellent choice of Hot items , all very well cooked. Well presented & tasted as expected Dessert from the night before.
We had paid for a upgraded room only to find that our room was right above the disco room , where a reception was being held. We were not informed until we arrived at reception until that evening. The room did vibrate with the bass tones all night. The good thing was it did finish at 12.05am .
Dinner was a disaster. The menu was very limited & disappointing. The quality of the food & even worse the presentation was disgusting. Defiantly no love for food in the kitchen. The Thai Vegetable curry was awful presentation & the flavours were not Thai. The Wagyu burger was really over cooked & no seasoning whatso ever. The fries were covered with spicy Paprika which is not mentioned on the menu as I would of asked for no paprika.
We had four the small plates to share for a starter. Quality of the food along with the dirty cooking oil, for the Calamari needed to be changed. The dessert, Saved the day, both were very good although I was dubious that the execution would be similar to the other 2 courses. Such a shame that their is no love for food in the kitchen. I felt so sorry for the Maitre,d & the waiting staff.

Breakfast was lovely, staff friendly and helpful. Lovely location.
It seemed like during peak times (wedding on Sat) there is a problem with parking spaces.
3.7
Good location quite tucked away
It was very busy with weddings , really good weather and no tables clean to sit outside all dirty glasses left and sticky tables from spilled alcohol , confetti everywhere
3.7
The location was perfect and the grounds were lovely
The toilet in our bathroom did not flush.
The dinner in the Linden room was disastrous. The dinner menu bore no resemblance to the one shown pn the website. 3 of my guests were unable to eat their main platter. The dirt and cobwebs around the air conditioning unit above our table were unsightly, unhygienic and provoked comments from my American guests.
Insufficient staff. The bar staff were unable to provide any cocktails.
The hotel rooms were tired.
Outside the tables were not cleared for many hours after previous occupants departe.
I paid for 3 rooms and would not return.
3.7
The location was perfect. The grounds are pretty.
The property is way past it's prime. Understaffed. Spiders and cobwebs all over the Linden Room and around air venta. The food (main course) was inedible for 3 of our party . Barstaff informed us that they would not be making cocktails. The 1st floor bed rooms (we had 2 on the first floor and 1 on the 2nd) are tired. The shower only provided warm water at head and shoulder level if cold water poured from the base. of the shower.
3.7
Apart from the quality of the bed (mattress), everything else was perfect. Cannot get a good nights sleep due to bad mattress.

Great breakfast and very friendly staff
Nothing not to like

Staff were friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the hotel is old and tired. It needs modernisation such as removing central heating from rooms and just having in room air con, plug sockets next to the bed, and new furniture.
3.7
The bed was extremely uncomfortable.
The size of the sauna was very claustrophobic.
3.7
Great hotel and staff
Changing rooms in the pool, but we were able to use the family changing facilities.
Bathtub in the bedroom. The tub looked a little grim.
3.7
Quiet room, heated pool and very nice staff
The food was not good value for money
3.7
Excellent breakfast, good pool, dinner was very nice.
The rooms needed a little updating, some repairs needed such as loose towel hooks, scratches on walls.
3.7
Was pretty from the outside
No lift ( which is stated if looked for luckily I did )
It was boiling hot everywhere pretty sure it’s made my daughter sick with how hot it was
Air con is out dated and doesn’t work properly

Lovely period property surrounded by green

Very convenient for Sandhurst. We would have liked to have breakfast before 0800 but we had to be at Sandhurst for 0830 and there wasn’t time.
Beds a little too soft
3.7
Lovely grounds
Room was not as sold, no walk in shower.
Tv reception on every channel was pixelated and often saying no source.
3.7
The building, the interior, the garden, the staff. Highly recommend.

Everything was perfect

It was seven years back that we stayed at the hotel and had very good service from the receptionists in arranging our accommodation etc.
Over the seven years there has been a detoriation of the furniture in the dining area especially the condition of the chairs.
3.7
Lovely old building.
Very short menu, breakfast was very poor, to get to the gym & pool we needed to go outside in pouring rain. Stupid place to put lights directly over bed risking head injury when sitting up.
3.7
Generous sized rooms, good location.
Limited and expensive restaurant.
Fire alarm went off at 1:30am & 8:30 with no explanation.
This is my 2nd visit to a Macdonald hotel for business.
The first one in Lymington changes my accessible booked room on arrival to a first floor outside building with wooden stairs. The result was I couldn't use the pool or restaurant qa 8 was not confident in navigating the stairs.
In both hotels the food quality does not match the expense.

Helpful staff Beautiful gardens. Good pool..
Plug in basin was broken. Room.and bathroom.a.bit dated.
3.7
The bed was so comfy, and the room was immaculate and of an excellent standard. I arrived after 9 pm and could still eat in the bar.
Nothing.
3.7
The spa facilities were good and the staff very friendly and helpful.
There is no lift and for my husband with reduced mobility it meant stairs to the room. I asked for a room which did not require climbing too many stairs which we were allocated however the receptionist failed to mention that there was a wedding with a disco in the room underneath on Saturday night.
Everything was expensive - food and drink - when compared with other hotels we stayed in during our trip.
The double bed was the smallest it could be.
3.7
Everything
Nothing to dislike.

Beautiful Victorian mansion surrounded with a small but cozy garden where you can sip a cocktail on a beautiful summer evening.
