Very comfortable quiet room with excellent facilities. Very convenient as the food at the restaurant was great so no need to venture far. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would strongly recommend the Golden Lion.

The hotel was in an excellent location for our flying visit to Pembrokeshire (a few costal walks). The hotel part had its own entrance and we warmly welcomed. The hotel has been refreshed and is bright and clean with modernised rooms and bathrooms. The bed was very comfortable. The bar is very old world but in a nice way, with a good selection of drinks on offer. There are some cask ales on offer also. It was busy for a Tuesday night. We ate in the restaurant which had been modernised also. The food was excellent and would highly recommend it. The crab starter was delicious! We had breakfast which was also good and typical fare. Throughout, our short one night stay the staff were excellent and very friendly.

We spent New Year at this amazing place and cannot rate it highly enough. The rooms are of a great quality, lovely and clean and very comfortable beds. We came last New Year too and the standard of stay is second to none. The food is excellent and the Sunday lunch is the best ever! The staff are wonderful, from Tom who booked us in to all of them who work so incredibly hard. We have to give Llinos a special mention as she remembered us from last year and was once again so friendly, caring and full of endless energy. New Years Eve was a blast and as busy as they were, all the staff were so professional and cheery and definitely went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a good time. Kay and Anthony.

The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. When I booked, all of the dog friendly rooms were taken so our dogs slept in the car. The staff were so accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure our dogs were as included in our stay as possible and moved our breakfast to the bar area so they could join us while we ate. They even made a little breakfast for the dogs as well which was such a lovely touch. Our bedroom was perfect for 2 people - comfortable, tastefully decorated with a lovely big window. The bathroom was really clean and new with a cute little selection of toiletries. The shower pressure was good too which is always a bonus!

Our room was near to the smoking area of the pub and it was quite noisy until well after midnight, although it was a Friday night during peak season so I suppose that is to be expected.

Couldn't fault it for anything....lovely staff, obviously very well trained, superb service....ate here both nights, chicken pie and Thai chicken second night, excellent, my husband had hake, again 1st class. Will definitely recommend and return again.

All staff were happy and helpful. Good welcome given when we arrived. Central for travelling to other areas of Pembrokeshire. Pub food very good and plenty of choice for breakfast. The room was a good size and clean and tidy. Would definitely return again.

The rooms are modern and very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent too.

The meal that we had in the evening was hit and miss. The steaks, burgers and tempura haddock were delicious. However, the other meals fell below our expectation and were pricey.

Breakfast was amazing. Good choices and fresh produce. Restaurant food was superb. Staff friendly and helpful.

Room was small but perfectly formed. Being asked to remove bedsheets on leaving day. Not so sure about that. Although I can appreciate there might be some staff shortages, I think thats going a bit far.

Room was pleasing with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was varied, tasty and very well cooked and presented. Staff were happy and made us feel welcome. Definitely visit again

Superb hotel all-round. Probably the friendliest greeting I've received on arrival; really nice quality ensuite room with a comfortable bed and a good-sized bath; high quality restaurant with an excellent bar with local real ales; the reception, bar and restaurant staff were all very customer-focused and welcoming; an extensive range of breakfast options were included in the B&B price.

Nothing to fault. This was the most expensive hotel on our trip, but I've paid this price before at other hotels and received far less. Amazing value - I would definitely stay again!
