The rooms were basic but comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
However, the rooms were a little bit dilapidated. The bathroom in particular was quite basic with peeling paint and a wonky toilet. The beds were comfortable, but there were a few cobwebs in corners that the cleaners had missed.

This is such a historic and important hotel, and it retains much of its former comfort and glory. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful – every question and request answered immediately

The hotel is inredibly noisy. I couldn't sleep until 2 am because of the neighbours. Doors openning, pipes, tv, talks. The walls are thin.
I came because I have to work early and I am more tired than if I had slept home and woke up early

Our friends had Napoleon suite which was lovely.
