Starting with the check-in process everything was easy and fast. We arrived late but we could manage to complete the check-in by following the instructions sent to us without the need of anyone to wait for us. The triple room was spacious, comfy bed and pillows. Everything was very clean. We found funny that each room was identified by a symbol (our was the Mustache room). Nice view to the pool with big windows. The private bathroom wasn't inside the room but it was close enough. Shower is great (we got inspired by the wood shower floor). The shared kitchen is always clean and had everything we need to prepare our meals - microwave, stove, appliances, coffee maker. There's even a drawer for each room (identified by the room symbol - remember the Mustache). The fridge was big and we could store our food there in one of the shelves. And the lounge area / dinning room is very spacious and cool to hang out and meet with other guests. The swimming pool area is beautiful with chairs to sunbathe and areas to eat your breakfast or lunch with a nice pool view. Location is close to the center, and if you rented a car (which I highly recommend) you will notice that the street is very narrow and difficult to park, but surprisingly there's a new parking lot with a lot of space next to the hotel - this was definitely a plus.

The room is not very soundproofed, and you can hear guests opening and closing their doors, and stepping in the stairs (stairs are made of wood, so they make some noise). If you sleep until late you will easily wake up at 11AM because of the vacuum cleaning. There is no air conditioning, but we didn't have any problems with the temperature because we went there on October when temperatures outside go from 17ºC to 25ºC. Anyway there is a fan in the room which we didn't have to use.

Really nice Hostel in Ponta Delgada. Great for walking into the city. The Airport is also reachable within minutes with a taxi, so its easy to get there. We only had breakfast in the hostel but found everything we needed to make it in the shared kitchen. Checkin and -out was super easy.

The noises from the hall were quite loud in the room, but it‘s a hostel, so this was nothing that was totally surprising to us. We enjoyed our stay!

The lodge (bedroom and bathroom) was clean, our towels were changed every couple dads, the beds were comfortable, it was nice to have kitchen facilities and to use the pool.

We had one of the two rooms on the front of the lodge. It was very noisy at night if we opened the windows to cool off the room as there was no AC — noisy from the traffic as well as the other guests on the floor right above us who seemed to stomp back and forth across their room until midnight or later. The lodge is also under the flight path with flights starting around 0630am, which is also an issue if you leave the windows open to cool down the room.

Great kitchen facilities. Comfortable bed. Great communication. Clean overall.

We had to sleep with the window closed as the road / planes are very loud. Looking at the photos, you don’t expect your room to be on the road with someone’s window right opposite.

Nice decorated hostel. Clean rooms and very good beds. Our 7 year old loved the swimmingpool. Very nice and helpfull staff. Washingmachine to use free of charge.

When we were at Azorean Urban Lodge, it was quite warm. In one room we had a fan, but temperature stays high in case of very sunny days. The other room didn't have a fan at first in the night we arrived, so the first night it was hard sleeping well. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. She got us a fan the next day. When all rooms are booked, the refrigarator is too small for everyone to keep in their stuff. A second one would be a good idea.

The pool area and the kitchen to share were great, even if the tables were not clean. The seperate bathroom to our room was also nice. We appreciated the fresh towels and soap.

It was extremely noisey. We had the turtle room facing the street. We could hear every guest trampling by, shouting at 1 in the night and every plane arriving. This is a great location to party with friends but definately NOT if you want to do excursions and be active during the day. Also our room was not as clean as stated in the previous comments and rather small. We were a bit disappointed to be honest.

It is the perfect place fot travlers, the bed is comfotable, great shower. I loved that the shared kitchen had everything you need. Good location and alot of parking in the street. Katya vas very halpfull and the whole stay was perfect.

The stairs / common (first) floor is a bit noisy. Light in the hallway is shining through a window above the door (woke us up sometimes when other guests arrived late). Blinding it would be a big improvement.

Nice place, clean, beds were very good, a good location to explore Ponta Delgada, swimming pool, easy contact with the owner (you don't see anywone of the staff but thats no problem)

The aircrafts that landing on Ponta Delgada airport a very close. So until the evening you see and hear above all these airplanes without a doubt. So its not very quiet.

Beautifull decorated rooms with very good beds. Nice swimmingpool te relax and in the center off the town. Lovely staff that makes you feel very welcome.

The check in and check out went very well. We liked the common area with the kitchen and courtyard. We met friendly staff.

It was pretty noisy, we heard the street noise with drilling and renovation and the neighbours talking and snoring while sleeping.

Lovely place. Really very clean, good kitchen facilities so you can make your own meals drinks etc. I had a lovely spacious room with en suite on the second floor. Very good value for money. If this was in the middle of town it would cost a lot more. Very good budget option.

You can hear the aeroplanes from the nearby airport. It didn't bother me as I only heard a few in the morning and evening. I was visiting in April though so I guess there may be more in summer. None between the hours of around 10.30 pm and 6.30 a.m 👍
