The room was part canvas and part walls with big glass windows with view out to the jungle, lovely big balcony and comfy chairs. So many birds. Close to gate of national park for gorilla trek.
Unfortunately the bed mattress was old and saggy and not comfortable. Food at the restaurant was expensive. One pool was empty and the other dirty.

Staff & hospitality: More friendly & helpful staff is hard to find. Even as campers we were greeted and welcomed like the fanciest guests, and there were always staff around who you could ask Qs to. They're all very professional & knowledgeable about activities in the community etc.
Location: It is also ideally located for those doing gorilla tracking at Rushaga, Bwindi: you don't feel like you're in the community where people will bother you but you are close enough that you can hear and see the day-to-day life of people near the mountains. It's a mere 10min drive/20min walk to the gorilla tracking office. The views from Rushaga are like I've rarely seen in my life! It was such a breath of fresh air to stay there. Wish we could return!
Facilities for camping: I assume very few guests camp so there isn't a tap, electric point, or 'kitchen' area available to campers. The shower & toilet is close-by but just outside where other guests go to the restaurant. Still we had everything we needed and they took very good care of us (e.g. letting us charge our phones in the office).
Restaurant: the 'restaurant' does not really serve a la carte and is quite pricey for us South Africans. We ended up eating out in the community and it was just as lovely!

Staff is super friendly. We appreciate the waiting we checked in late, and there was Elizabeth and Simon waiting for us.
The wifi was off and on, and that can be worked on thanks

The views of Bwindi forest are great.
Thank you, Elizabeth and Simon, for hosting us.

A very nice lodge in beautiful surroundings. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner was very good. It is close to the Rushaga gate for the gorillas. We camped and the toilet/shower facilities were good.
Food was expensive. Breakfast $15, lunch $10 and dinner $20. Dinner was delicious and more fairly priced, but breakfast was very basic, we paid $5 elsewhere for much better. $15 is far too much.
The main pool was closed.

Located right next door to the entrance to the park. Early breakfast was on time with no rush.
All the complex is located on the slope of a hill, so be ready to pass 50-70 m of height by stairs several times a day. It was very cold inside the half-tented room at night. And there was only thin Chinese blanket put in between two bed sheets. It rolled at night. The lodge itself needs renovation because the floors are already inclined down the slope. Sound proofing with neighbors is nearly absent, I could hear talks in the neighbor's room like it was in mine. The staff behaved like I'm the dairy cow in terms of money. Restaurant served regular Ugandan food, but service is very slow during the dinner.

incredible nice staff. they try to help you in any possible way.
location is great. Great accomodation also for the gorilla track. gate is nearby.
breakfast is really good.
the accomodation is very big, so you can always find a nice place to chill.

- Amazing location, right next to the gorilla tracking starting point
- Dinner was quite good, especially good bread rolls
- Spacious room
- Friendly team
- We saw gorillas from the lodge!! This was an amazing experience (March - and staff said this was quite common during the rainy season)
- the room was a little dated and lacked character. It could've been a guesthouse just about anywhere and doesn't convey the feeling of being near one of the most special places on earth.
4.3
Perfect location and beautiful setting in the forest. Good food. Very friendly and helpful staff. The lodge helped me organise our gorilla trekking permits directly, which was easy and much appreciated.
The lodge tried to charge me $330 for a standard room where it was only $75 on booking.com. Huge disparity - it was worth the latter but not the former

The staff and the location. Beautiful close view of the forest. The staff were all exceptionally hard working, dedicated and focused on providing the guests with a great stay
The displaced tribe was upsetting. It's a sad byproduct of the conversation efforts for the gorillas. However, alcoholism and virtually zero opportunities beyond providing entertainment to tourists is all they have. You also feel overly privileged as you're quite literally looking down on them from the lodges. But, this is a by-product of the conservation efforts and no reflection on the lodge.
Finally, the tip box is virtually impossible to find. The staff deserve far greater rewards for their extremely hard work to make us tourists happy and comfortable. My feeling is lots of people don't end up tipping because of this oversight by the owner to not reposition it where it can actually be seen and found.

Location abs the staff was awesome
The Pete going off at 2239 and no other option fot it tv in the run and better civerafe if wufi would be great.

great location, great food, easy to walk down to the gorillas and nice village tours

The lodge is nice and the location is ideal. The forest is right there and it’s beautiful.
Meals cost extra. Perhaps I missed that in the fine print, but it was surprising given that most lodges include meals in their pricing as the area is fairly remote.

We camped for four nights on the property and used the camping bathroom and showers. It was a lovely stay close to the National park entrance. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service.
4.3
It’s very close to the park
The staff was very kind but a little confused. Internet was not working all the time. The shower had very low pressure and the hot water just lasted for one person. The second had a cold bath.

we booked a Luxury cottage but we get a standard room, umid much different from the booked one.
location, people friendly, ambience

The location is fantastic, both close to the Rushaga entrance for the Gorilla trekking and the view from the room is breath taking. The food is good, and the rooms are specious and well equipped. We were in room Buhoma 2 which is the end of the line of rooms. Very quite and beautiful views, but there is good view from other rooms as well.
No connection, not wifi and not cellphone. This is a problem of the area, rather than of the hotel, but it is still a problem. In particular, it prevents paying by credit cards, and thus we had to pay cash for both accommodation and meals.

Nice staff. Beautiful location next the the Bwindi park (and Pygmy village). Entertainment was organized in the evening. Good food!
Our family room was very small for 4 adults. No wifi in the rooms. One of the two pools had no water..

very friendly staff. beautiful views. close to Rushaga gate for Gorilla tracking.
food could be better!

Everything was very nice
Wifi is not the best although I didn’t care much about it but some people may need it.
4.3
Great views. Clean room with comfortable bed. Worth the money what we paid for it here through booking.com. But not worth it what they asked for the same room straight at the reception. Restaurant was ok.
4.3
Great Stuff, Great Rooms and a Fabulous View at the Bwindi Forest. walking Distance to the Rushaga Gate (Gorilla Trekking). Special Place!
Wifi in the Rooms would be a great addition

10minutes to Rushaga - entry to the trek to see the gorillas.
It was the best hotel I’ve stayed in Uganda.
The staff is amazing. Very nice, respectful, always here to help and share a nice conversation. Thanks a lot!
The luxury cottage was definitely luxury. Clean, amazing view and so comfortable.
They give you bottle of hot water to sleep every night.
The 3 meals are included and are delicious.
I highly recommend to stay at Rushaga Gorilla Camp.
Nothing to say.

10 USD for an egg, toast, and coffee at breakfast. 10 USD for a packed lunch consisting of a juice box, tuna sandwich, and banana. I've paid less for more at JFK Airport. Also, I was told WiFi was available in the rooms. In fact, it was only available in the main lodge and not strong enough to support Skype calls. That said, I recognize this is a lodge in the middle of a jungle, so I couldn't expect too much. Finally, the pool was under renovation, which was disappointing as that was one of the main reasons we booked this accommodation.
