Breakfast was good.
The DSTV in the room did not work. The air-conditioner struggled to keep the room cool. Hot water took a long time to come through the pipes. The room and furniture could do with an upgrade

Die Lage ist sehr gut um in Windhoek abends auszugehen. Sie müssen aber natürlich mit dem Auto fahren.
Abends sind meist geschlossene Gesellschaften zum Abendessen da. Also besser Abends zum Essen wegfahren.
Für das ganze Hotel gibt es nur 4 Poolliegen.

Beautiful scenery, especially at night over looking the Windhoek lights.

Nice lodge near Windhoek in a quiet location, with great views. The rooms are nice, spacious and quiet. The pool is nice, but a bit difficult to use as it is in the middle of the restaurant (not a lot of privacy) and the water is very cold. Wifi works in the rooms, which is great. The restaurant is ok, but not very special, with a fixed menu. Unfortunately there is no choice in the area and one needs to drive to Windhoek, which is a bit of a drive to just have some food.
The offer at the restaurant should be improved... or they could provide a shuttle bus to and from some restaurant downtown

Das Gesamtpaket hat überzeugt. Vor allem der Blick in die Landschaft und die Großzügigkeit des Zimmers und die Freundlichkeit des Personals waren super.
Die Anfahrt ist im Moment wegen der Baustelle erzwangen schwierig. Die Straße zur Lodge ist etwas rumpelig.

Der Ausblick. Das nette Personal. Einfach aber sauber.
Haben uns nicht sicher gefühlt. Am Schlüssel war ein Notfallknopf. Nachts gab es einmal einen Alarm. Wer nicht ängstlich ist, ist dort jedoch gut aufgehoben!

Eine wunderschöne Lodge herrlich gelegen in den Bergen rund um Windhoek. Das Abendessen war eins der besten auf unserer Rundreise. Wir haben es auf der Terrasse mit herrlichem Rundumblick auf den Sonnenuntergang und die abendlich erleuchtete Stadt eingenommen. Das Personal war vorbildlich freundlich und die Zimmer sehr schön mit einer kleinen Terrasse davor mit dem gleichen schönen Blick. Ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Schöne Terrasse mit Pool und Blick über Windhoek.
Frühstücksbuffet war in Ordnung.
Abendessen lecker.
Wir bekamen den allerletzten Bungalow Nr 20...obwohl nicht ausgebucht war ..d.h. ziemlich lange Wege mit Gepäck bei 35 Grad war nicht so toll.
Es gab nur eine Badewanne - nach dem Duschen stand das ganze Bad unter Wasser.

Beautiful property with incredible views from all the rooms. Very comfortable beds. Food at the restaurant was excellent.
It was unseasonably cold while we were there and the rooms were never able to get warm.

Thanks to the wonderful team for your kindness and attentions ! This was the first day of our honeymoon and we were unfortunate with missing luggage that was such a stress full experience... but when we arrived at River Crossing Lodge the team has been fabulous and managed to cheer us up ! The view on the mountain, the tasteful food, the fizzy wine ... our stay was perfect !

great location / modern / scenic views.
no signage off the main highway that are visible at night so got lost. They need aLarge sign visible at night and then many signs once on the gravel road to assure first time night arrivals that they are on the right road. There is poor mobile coverage so phoning reception doesn’t help !

Location and view was ok . Poor road to the lodge.
Showers not working even though we tried we burnt or froze, windows broken, bedlights bust, beds were like rock hard , smell of urine by main lodge deck... disgusting, maintenance non exiting. Weeds and grass growing everywhere. Rooms were nothing like on the website , bland and poorly marked.

The lodge is in an excellent location if you want to stay close to Windhoek Airport.
Good view from the room and nice deck area to sit in restaurant area.
Breakfast wasn’t just ‘ok’.
I think the WiFi works at its best in the closest rooms to the main lodge area.
