incredibly beautiful, stylish, comfortable, kind staff! the breakfast was also amazing, with delicious eggs and home made jams and fresh orange juice.

The owners and staff were extremely professional in every respect. They treated us with the upmost care and attention, making us feel as we were part of their beautiful set-up. This experience was way beyond our expectations and a stay that we shall treasure.

Such a lovely place in the middle of Alentejo countryside! The accomodation, staff, views and breakfast far exceeded our expectations. A full kitchen with great meals, a cozy place to hang out by the fireplace with other guests, enjoying local wines and great conversations. We will definitely plan a trip back.

We loved the uniqueness of the place. The views were fabulous & the staff & owners were friendly going beyond to help in any way.

The view from the garden is very nice and the rooms are quite big (not necessarily the bathroom).

Check in is supposedly after 14h. However, we arrived around 16h and still needed to wait about 1h30m for our room to be ready. There are no folders or flyers anywhere with suggestions of what to do in the area. During breakfast, when guests will most likely be planning their day, the owners are nowhere to be found. We had dinner at the property once and were asked about it on one other day. On none of the other days were we offered anything but saw other guests having dinner later. At the same time, we saw guests having lunch which we were never offered throughout our stay. We saw a few guests walking around with a jar of lemonade that we had no idea could be provided since there didn’t seem to be a bar. Basically, it was never clear what services we could expect from the accomodation and it almost felt like we were interfering with the private space of the owners. Finally, we were unlucky to stay at the accomodation at the same time as guests which placed their towels on the lounge chairs in the shade and went about their business elsewhere, whereby we either had nowhere to sit or only in the sun, while pretty much the whole garden was empty apart from us. To top it off, the staff never paid any attention to avoid these practices. Avis has really next to nothing to offer for a visit and with the shortcomings we encountered, i would definitely recommend looking for a different option rather than staying at this accomodation.

the Location is beautiful with amazing 360 degree views of the vineyards, olive grows and rive from the dining terrace you could see the river and hear so much of the wildlife - truly stunning the house/hotel is stylishly decorated - with their guests comfort in mind, the rooms are large and comfortable and there are many areas and rooms for relaxation the owners are so friendly and the staff too! there is nothing that they would not do for us - or you we had drinks on the terrace each evening, watching the sunset - a perfect end to any day! we also had a delicious dinner for my birthday too one night - as by then we knew casa moira really does have the best view and location in avis the swimming pools and landscaping are "out of this world" - and such a bonus for any trip away my husband and i both work and are quite hectic people - but we were both able to relax and unwind and only wish that we had had another 2+ days at Casa Moira as we did not want to leave... this is a perfect place for couples - families with children and indeed multi generational families a 7* experience, and we will be back as soon as our work allows!

Its was not my first visit, and for sure will not be my last. They receive me so well, that I always feel like a part of the family.

Beautiful premises and very friendly service. They organized a light meal for us on the outside terrace with breathtaking views at sunset. Very elegant rooms decorated with heart. Location ideal at the top of the city. The luxury of calm and proximity to nature. A must stop !

from others that I was shown, most rooms are luxurious, mine was not, it was just average though large with good bedding; diners were excellent with a great home made food by the best host ever...

The room fare was too expensive, not cost-effective

We stayed in a junior suite but its big anyway :) Comfy bed, very good and tasteful breakfast, small but nice swimming pool. The staff is nice and you get a good feeling inside the house.

No words can describe how well you feel in this special place. I went on “remote working” mode, and it was fantastic!! I loved everything: the room, the pool, the fantastic food, the boat trip, the employees but my passion was Alice and Menta ... they are the adorable!

Excellent place full of history. Loved the family. Breakfast was great. Boat ride in Maranhão dam is really nice.
