Sun and Moon Resort was probably one of the best accommodations we’ve stayed in Korea! Firstly, the staff were kind, polite, helpful and welcoming. They were very resourceful and knew the best places in Jeju inside out! We forgot to get the staff’s names but a male staff recommended a really nice BBQ place that was 5 mins drive away from the resort (and even helped to call the place to double confirm if there was space for us); Another lady staff also helped introduce and map out the route for us to visit must-not-be-missed places in Jeju!! Definitely more than 5-star service! The other staff we met were also very friendly. Secondly, the rooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. We stayed at the ground level and were lucky to have a ‘balcony’ that connects to our room. From the ‘balcony’, we had direct access to the large field area - where we could sit on swings, play games like badminton and traditional Korean games, or simply breathe in fresh air and enjoy the tranquility of the place. We did not get to BBQ due to our packed travel schedule but did see families enjoying BBQ at the area too. Thirdly, the ambience and view of the place was just spectacular! The serenity is something our family really enjoyed as the place was away from the hustle and bustle of life, allowing us to truly wind down and relax. You could also walk to a beach 5 mins away from the resort. Fourthly, breakfast was aplenty and delicious. We were served homemade bakes, fresh juice, and coffee - right to our door steps. This allowed us to have breakfast with a view! Just one thing to note: The resort is a tad away from main attractions but shouldn’t be a problem should you be driving around! Also, you may wish to bring along mosquito repellent (especially during the summer months) as mosquitoes/ flies are quick to enter the place when you open the ‘balcony’ door. Not a big concern though. Just be mindful to close the door quick!

The room was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the morning breakfast with a view of the lawn and the beach in the background. All the staff at the resort were extremely pleasant and helpful. They provided us with recommendations to good restaurants around, directions to the laundromat, and even offered to let us contact them if we lose our way hiking in Jeju. While the location may be far from the city centre, we loved that the area was quiet and peaceful, and near to multiple attractions (e.g. Sagye beach, Sanbang mountain, Yongmeori Coast). Overall, it was a lovely stay, and we would come back again.

We had some difficulties getting consistent hot water for the shower initially, but we were able to figure out how to do so thereafter.

Very nice location nearby beautiful beach, nice view of famous HyoungJae island and green grass, good size of the room, facilities (kitchen and parking lot), swimming pools (convenient location on the roof and two swimming pools with different depths), very tasty breakfast and super kind staffs.

Kind and friendly staff

There are better hotels in Jeju, but nothing beats this one when it comes to value for money or location. It is absolutely peaceful, with a great view and very relaxed atmosphere. It unwinds you down immediately. It’s a no frills hotel, but it’s well worth your stay. I’ve stayed there already a couple of times and will definitely repeat, even if normally I go for the high end hotels.

It’s not a super luxurious stay, but you immediately forget that due to all the other positives.
