Great location for short walk to see Canterbury Cathedral and the St. Augustine’s Abbey ruins. Owner very service oriented.

Property had very strong smell of cigarettes throughout. Carpet was very stained and needs steam cleaning.

De beheerder was niet aanwezig op de door ons gemelde aankomsttijd. Telefonisch (via antwoordapparaat) gesproken en hij was er binnen 10 minuten. Hij gaf vriendelijk maar summier en onvolledig informatie, bijvoorbeeld geen info over uitchecken en achterlaten van de sleutel.

Location to the center of town.

The property smelt heavily of cigarette smoke throughout. I was unable to stay at the due to the fact that I’m allergic to cigarette smoke. I had checked the reviews before I booked but hadn’t seen the complaint from another party that the owner smoked. I contacted the owner to cancel my booking soon after I arrived but he did not respond to any of messages or phone calls over the next few days. He took full payment for three nights even though I didn’t stay at the property. In still waiting for booking.com to resolve the issue. Other things to note are that there are no kettles in the room so you need to use the rather cluttered communal kitchen. The furniture and decor is tired and cluttered. I did not stay a night so I cannot comment on the comfort of the bed. I would highly recommend avoiding this property. This has been my first bad experience with booking.com. It remains to be seen whether they can resolve the issue.

Room was Spacious, Close to the Town, owner was friendly, Room was very secure, felt very safe. # Allowed my daughter & her Friend (both 17yrs) stay when other Hotels turned them away. I was very Greatful and really appreciate his kindness.

The Room was very warm but we found a fan which helped and made a difference.

An easy walk to Canterbury attractions with on site parking an option if prebooked for £8 per night. Property was as described with shared kitchen and lounge.

The place was somewhat tired in decor and furnishings but the bed was comfortable and for the price it was fair. There are three rooms, each with locked door access. The proprietor is not on site. We did not see the other guests, possibly they were longer-term residents eg students.

Clean and convenient location

I parked my car in the allocated spot but when I tried to drive out later I couldn’t leave the site as the electronic gate was locked. I tried calling the host but got no answer. I was so frustrated as I had an important event to attend.

Excellent location for city but very quiet at night, comfortable, light large room which felt like home with all convenience of access to kitchen (inc. washing machine)dining room and lounge. Friendly and helpful staff responded to any questions we had immediately. Excellent value! Thankyou for a great week stay!

Dated unnecessary decor… but not my place so…

The location is excellent! Waitrose and Tesco express are just 3 mins away. There's also parking @£8 per day. We can walk to the Town Centre within 10 mins. The house is well equipped. The host is very pleasant and accommodating. On the day we checked put, we left our car in the designated carpark until 1pm , allowing us to do more sightseeing, shopping and lunch.

The house is off a busy main road, it wasn't easy to locate and we drove pass it twice! Perhaps need to leave instructions how to get to the place, especially those who are driving. You can actually safely drive to the back where the designated car park is located.

Clean room, powerful shower, all facilities to cook for yourself, good WiFi. I would definitely stay again!

The property was large (a 3 level townhouse layout) and spacious and placed well for the town centre. The room was spacious, clean and also had a small fridge in the room which helps with cold drinks etc.

The check -in time of 16.00pm and check-out time of 10.00am, needs to be reviewed to better accommodate guests. During my stay one room was vacated at 10.00am, but not turned around until that late afternoon. With the property not being a large one and only having so few (3/4) rooms to turnaround the check-in/out could be more accomodating for the guests. The shower rail and curtain 'inside' the bath is a bit of an obstacle and due to the curtain not being cut to size, all the the excess wet material sits around your feet, and could be a bit of a trip hazard waiting to happen. The lounge has a sliding patio door that opens onto a small courtyard which then opens directly out through a back gate into a public neighbouring property parking area. The doors original locking mechanism is missing, and this has been replaced with just a brass 'hook and loop latch' which was always left unsecured, so the doors could be just slid open from the outside, which happened during my stay with a small group of people entering the house through these doors. From both a guest and property security perspective the owners / management should get the door replaced or professionally repaired to avoid unauthorized entry.

The room the bed the bathroom, brilliant! Washing machine didn't work which was a shame but everything else was fab! Couldn't fault it. Location was great too. Close to shops food and bars. As well as the historical sites of canterbury

Far was amazing to deal with, very friendly and welcoming. There was anything you could possibly need, chargers, hair-dryer and basic cooking supplies in the kitchen which often get missed like baking paper for the oven and salt, pepper & oil. Room was spacious and the bathroom spotless which is more that what I can say for many a place I've stayed in!

The decor was a little dated, and there were a couple of small stains on the carpet in the room, but certainly not a big deal and attributable to normal wear and tear. There was a new carpet square around the bed as a mat which was newer and unstained so clearly there has been effort made to make up for it. Overall, the cleanliness was great!!

The owner was on time when we arrived and responded promptly, but that was, except to the near city centre, almost all... and yeah, Netflix for free with a good TV, if I had more energy and time :/ yeah and the last positive aspect - we were capable to leave at 12, which I appreciated.

Don´t understand why anyone has a bed in accomodation with a front wood (don´t know the exact term in English). I had my long legs part of the night and that wood wasn´t exactly soft. What´s more, the matresses were too soft, which is not good for sleeping. Amongst other things I "appreciated" the most when other accomodants walked, closed the doors or did whatever movements, for the walls were from cartoon! Same for the owner or his family? It´s not appropriate to smoke under someone´s window, even less when he or they might be still sleeping... Considering all above written, the price (even though we booked the same day, I admit) was astronomically riddiculous.

Good size carpeted clean room and comfortable bed with small fridge and large tv and good wifi. Coffee and tea etc in the kitchen left by the management for guests. Nice property located within a short walk to the centre and parks etc.

Personally found the internal shower curtain placed inside the glass shower screen a bit challenging, but nothing major to ruin my stay. Overhearing a guest sitting below in the small fenced court garden smoking and spitting onto the ground in the mornings.Other than that relatively quite house.

Very comfortable and spacious accommodation. The bedroom was great, having lots of nice features and touches : fridge, large flat screen TV, wardrobe, bedside tables, plenty of wall sockets, electric fan, en-suite .... Shared features include a fully fitted kitchen with a larger fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, oven & hob, and tea and coffee.

The shower in Room 1 was a letdown. There was a contrived shower curtain / shower screen combination and not very spacious. The shower head either sprayed such a wide jet of water that it went everywhere or slowed to a low-pressure trickle. We couldn't get any of the BBC channels on the TV in the room; the picture was scrambled and the sound distorted.

Great location with easy accees to town centre. Host was very friendly, went above and beyond when there was an issue with washer and offered to do laundry at another premises for me. Room was very comfortable and good value.
