Just simply a 10 / 10. Beautiful house, lovely host, Better than staying with friends, Trying to think of a down side to this...Hope, there isn't one ! But don't shout about it, because it'll be booked next time we want to go.

Having to leave. to continue our journey home. If you like old, period properties , with character, thus is a must. Wish they were all like this.

It is in a beautiful location and the building itself is beautiful

Didn't speak any English even though stated in info. which is why I booked it as I'm a solo traveller arriving late to an isolated location. A group had been given my room, which in some ways was understandable, but I was put in a room that was not prepared, smelled of damp as if it hadn't been used for a long time and appeared to have been used for storing stuff! (I have a photo) I had to ask for a towel, kettle, water. The owner left at 4am and I was shown how to lock up and leave...quite an adventure but one that I won't be repeating....

The hosts provided us( and another 2 guests) with a wonderful 4 course evening meal un prompted The property is characterful, clean and spacious and in a lovely countryside location

bedroom a little small

Great overnight stop. Very friendly host, beautifully renovated house and with DIY touches to not feel precious.

the host went out of his way to find a linen store and made up a bed he had no knowledge about our booking

it was 8.30 pm arrived no booking all rooms full. Bookings.com hopeless and failed to call back

Great welcome from host, including a pleasant chat over a glass of bubbly. Beautiful surroundings and historic building with kerb appeal. Breakfast was good. It was left out for us in the morning as owners left very early for work. Bed fine and toilet very clean.

En suite seemed a bit like work in progress with some unfinished boarding where we knocked our toes.

We had one of the best stays. The place is big, very old but so natural to the environment in general. pool is there, outdoor furniture. Was the feeling like really staying at home in an old summer village. breakfast was ready, we even got a welcome wine. In general amazing place!
