We could see the harbour.

When we booked, we booked a Superior waterfront room which all photos showed the rooms with a double balcony, when we got our room the balcony was only just over 1mt very disappointing. You could not see any fireworks from the balcony NYE as we were told we would be able to by checking staff. Would not go again for NYE.

The location, the views, the staff, the room, the food, absolutely everything was amazing!

Very little, maybe more coffee pods and extra wine glasses and coffee mugs in the room (there was only one of each except for sparkling wine).

Everything worked. Easily one of the best places I have ever stayed. Breakfast was delicious, staff helpful and waterfront view room next-level!

Not a huge deal, however a swimming pool or spa on property would be a nice touch.

MACq 01 is like staying in an art museum!

Everything was perfect. The hotel is a whole new level of tastefulness, fun, cleanliness, thoughtfulness... It's probably the best hotel experience I have had. The sleeping system is so good that I want an exact copy at home.

Attention to detail! Love the little blue glow strip so you can see where the light switches are at night. Very comfortable bed, the cute little balcony, room configuration is great, love that there is a seperate walk in robe to store clothes and luggage with a full length mirror, love the shower/bathroom. The design of the hotel is fantastic, very wide walk way between rooms. The cleanliness also fantastic. All the beautiful timber throughout the hotel. Could not ask for a better location, you walk out the front doors and your on the warf surrounded by restaurants!! Next time will pay the extra for a waterfront view 😊

Great facilities! The bed was very comfortable, I like a soft mattress so it suited me! if you’re fussy with your pillow, there’s an option to choose the type of pillow you prefer when you get to your room which is a great service. Mini bar options were diverse and delicious. The staff were so lovely and bought be up some bath salts and extra body wash for the bath. The location is perfect if you’re keen on doing all the tourist things, it’s so close to the Mona ferry, Hop on Hop Off bus, the CBD, cafes and restaurants and heaps of other things. The Story Bar located at the bottom of the hotel made great cocktails! The view over the harbour from the room was beautiful, I sat with my cup of tea and watched the sea plane taking off and listened to the seagulls and watched the world go by. It was very peaceful.

The restaurant downstairs, called Old Wharf Restaurant was unfortunately disappointing. We ordered the King Island steak, vodka pasta and Huon potatoes on Sunday night. The steak arrived medium/well done but we ordered it medium rare, the potatoes were only warmed and the potato in the middle was hard. We were told that the pasta sauce was pre-made so there was no option to ask for less chilli. We were charged top dollar but the food was not up to the standard we paid for. We loved our experience at the Macq 01 hotel but would not recommend this restaurant downstairs.

Love the location of this hotel and the view from the Superior waterfront room. The proximity to everything you need is great. The ferry to Mona is right at your door step, 10 min walk to the shops, 5 min walk to the Salamanca markets not to mention all the great restaurants walking distance from the hotel. Love the decor and vibe of this hotel.

This is my second time here and everything was excellent except for the bed in room 123. We had 2 rooms for a family of 4 and the bed in room 123 was uncomfortable and I realised it had a dip in it and wasn't firm like it should be. We also had room 122 and that bed was much better. Time for that bed to be shipped out and replaced with a new one.

Unique Hotel. Had stories on every door which celebrated the people who made Hobart great. It was soo nice.

Everything, we had room 304 on top floor, would have liked bar stools and tall table outside to enjoy a wine on the deck.
