I picked this hotel because it's one of the few hotels near the train station that had everything my group needed. We were a group of 16 and we were looking for a place that could accommodate all of us, with breakfast, elevators, bag drop, and more. Golden Sunrise had all of that.
Even though it is close to the train station it does not get much of the foot traffic from the train. Access from the train station is not that straightforward as you would have to go a little out of your way to get to this hotel. It's in one of the far ends of the town past the football stadium.
One thing I really appreciated is that the staff of the hotel were there at the train station when we arrived, they had a sign with my name to guide us to the hotel. This is something we didn't request or expect.
Conveniently the hotel also has a few markets and restaurants nearby. The businesses in this side of town are more catered to the locals.
The breakfast offered a little more options than your average continental breakfast, looks like everybody seemed to enjoy it.
Hotel was near the rivers so you could hear the water swooshing by.
The staff did a great job.
Didn't like that there was no ac to control humidity. The unit we stayed at smelled damp, but aguas calientes is pretty cool all year round

Good sized Junior Suite. Staff worked hard to help us.
A bit far from the centre. Breakfast very basic. But staff tried hard to assist us. No coffee maker in room.

My room was very spacious. The bed was a dream. The wifi was excellent. The room facilities left nothing to be desired. There is a very large flat screen TV (with all internet streaming services) with sound system. The bathroom was large, but my highlight was the jacuzzi in the room. After an exhausting (but gorgeous) hike to Macchu Picchu, there was no better place for me to relax in this hot tub. A large balcony overlooking the small river and a mountain with a very quiet neighbourhood completed the visit. Not to be forgotten: The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Good option to stay in Águas Calientes. It is located a little bit far from the main center, but in a very short walk (about 5 minutes) you reach the artisan market, train station and restaurants.
The hotel itself is nice. The staff is friendly. The room is big, clean and confortable. The breakfast is ok, but could be improved.
Nothing to say.
4.1
The room is very spacious and the beds comfortable. The staff were nice and helpful.
The bath in the room was great.
There is an option to leave the bags in the hotel when going to the Machupicchu.
When we arrived there weren't hot water in the shower and we had to ask them to fix it and waited quite a while before we were able to shower. Also the main bulb in the room didn't work. If it was a two stars hotel it wouldn't be a problem, but we expected more.
The view from our room was actually into a building site.

Good location, the staff was super host, they arrived for us to the train station and helped us with the luggage. The room was spacious and sparkling clean. The breakfast was abundant, fresh and with lot of options
nothing

Located at the end of town so pretty quiet.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Breakfast was alright but nothing spectacular.
Room was smelly even after we opened the windows for few hours.
Not amazing value for money but as are all things in this town

Staff accommodated our needs for early morning departures to MP by providing us a bag lunch since the breakfast service didn't start until 6am.
This is NOT a four-star hotel even though it is listed as such. It appears to have changed hands and is being/been renovated, but may things are incomplete- showers without curtains (bathroom gets soaked every time you shower) and floor trim is missing or coming loose. Fixtures are rusted and smell is a bit off. Overpriced for what you get as lacking amenities of a four-, or even a three-star hotel.

Very good breakfast, comfortable beds. The hotel staff was very kind and supportive (they came to pick us up at the train station, they took our baggage to the train station when we were leaving).
the shower was not so hot...

Clean and quiet.

the room was huge! they had ample linens. the staff was very helpful with picking up and delivering our luggage to the train station. they sound of the running water was very peaceful.
the corner tub was very dirty. there is not enough hot water for two people to shower a decent length. they were kind enough to deliver our luggage to the room but they left the sliding door to the balcony open and there were several bugs in there when we arrived. It is quite noisy inside the hotel as the doors don’t muffle the hallway/elevator sounds. The WiFi was decent but not great. the balcony view in our corner room was only of the rooftop next door and lots of rebar. the breakfast was awful and coffee was cold, we honestly skipped it and went to town to a cafe which was disappointing for the price of the room. be careful in the bathroom as the shower sprays water everywhere however it was a nice sized and clean bathroom. the bathroom floor drains emit sewer smells so that was unpleasant. there is no AC and only a plug in space heater. this wasn’t a problem for us in June because the weather was lovely however I could imagine it being a problem other times of the year.

The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The location was good.It was near everything and quiet at the same time.
The only thing we didn't like is waiting fifteen minutes for a plain two-egg omelet.

The staff was so helpful and proactive. I would definitely stay here again
No complaints

William's excellent service (we had a communication failure when picking us up at the train station, but he gave us a room upgrade and late check out to reward, in addition to taking our bags to the train station after check out). The room is excellent, with a very hot shower and bathtub - everything we needed after a tiring day.
Breakfast is simple, could have more options; and it's farther from the center and the train station, but it's worth it.

great location, great rooms, staff was friendly and went the extra mile. highly recommend, and I am a very frequent traveler!

There was no one except us who checked into the hotel. Air in the front lobby was stale. It was little concerning.
there was no water view from our room 409, it was covered by the new construction building in the front

it had a hydromassage bath.. but it didn’t have hot water so impossible to use 😅
no wifi, only cold water, mold smells entering to reception, ubicated at the end of the village, that street smells, feels like end of the world, no view in suite, they promised balcony in suite, we rented suite and view was pure rebars and construction waste 2n in front of us balcon didn’t exist it was 5cm space after the window.
anyways we left walking 3minutes to 3* Jaya suites hotel and it was spectacular 10/10, clean, spectacular ubicación and view, best service.

We were the only ones in the hotel and the staff got up at 4am to make a big breakfast just for us.
Really nice and hot shower.
The room was a little cold.

Staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. They were constantly going the extra mile to help us. Got a room upgrade as they weren't very busy. Breakfast wasn't the best we've had but good enough.

Eveything is perfect. Nice staff. Helped us a lot. Came to the station to lead us to the hotel. They even can help to print your ticket to Machupicchu. Leave a room for us to take a shower after hiking. Breakfast is good. The facilities are well functioning. Best hot water I got in Peru. With a view of mountain and sound of river. Laundry store is just 20 meters away. 5 sol per kilo. Highly recommended. If I come to machupicchu again, I will definitely live here.
