The lodge is situated at the most idyllic location with rushing Chobe River right outside our tent. The tented room is very roomy and comfortable with a large bathroom and AC. The staff, especially Kennedy and our guide Patrick, Cassius, and Melody, Presley (sorry, I don't recall all the names) are all wonderfully courteous and attentive. Every trip out on the river is magical. We saw so many animals and the river is just beautiful. There is something very serene about seeing animals from the boat. The free laundry was so helpful. After more than 2 weeks of travel, it was nice to be able to pack our bags with all clean clothes on our return journey home.

The room is slightly dark, but we were not in the room very much at all during the day as we were having fun on the river. So it was not a big deal.

Having a personal guide was just amazing and allowed us limitless flexibility. We were able to spend the mornings fishing (make sure to get bait for tiger fishing) and animal viewing in the afternoon. We saw the most animals and the closest we were able to get using Ichingo Lodge than all of the days combined we spent on a camping safari in Chobe. Was awesome experience with really wonderful staff.

Watch out for the steps between the bedroom and bathroom. They are deadly in the middle of the night!! The stay was fantastic.

What a great vibe! It was not like we imagined, it was so much better, from the amazing boat ride with Mr. Felix to get there, then the FULL WELCOME from Mr. Kennedy, the President of Ichingo river lodge! Everything is looked after, just relax! Enjoy wine 30 meters away from a herd of elephants , whilst soaking up the sun in a boat. The people, the place, the experience is fantastic. Do it
