The house was very clean. Check in was easy. The yard was nice to sit in morning with our coffee. It was in a GREAT location. 15 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from family, 8 minutes to Amerture Works amd 15 minutes to RJ Stadium.

Functional and spacious kitchen. Super comfortable beds. The location was perfect--near restaurants and Hyde Park, playgrounds, grocery stores, and the waterfront---but still very quiet and secluded. Everything was super clean. Aaron was very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again if we're back in Tampa!

Yes, we would stay here again! Home was well stocked, plenty of paper products and soaps at each sink and bath. Home is situated near downtown Tampa and Hyde Park, making it an ideal rental for us during our stay. Neighborhood, is older but going through a renewal process but felt safe and even met the neighbor next door who was pleasant and friendly. Only a few negatives: 1. backyard didn't have much grass, mostly weeds, 2. one side of the backyard was blocked by some old wood panels that should be cleaned up to avoid a tripping incident, 3. Middle bathroom had a terrible odor coming out of the shower drain. 4. House on one side appeared to be abandoned which had a back yard pool that was filled with very dirty/algae water which may explain why we had some serious mosquitos problems during our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Good location while visiting our child who attends the University of Tampa. The beds were very comfortable. The outdoor table umbrella needs cleaning and repairs.

The Carmen Guest House was exactly what I was looking for! The house was a really nice space, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Easy to follow instructions from the homeowners. We had a great trip and would definitely stay here again!

We were so pleased with this stay and the beds were so comfortable, the house was clean and set up just like a hotel when we arrived! The check in process was a breeze and we appreciate the hospitality.

We had a conference downtown and this home was a perfect blend of accessibility and peacefulness. The neighborhood is very friendly. The owner is responsive and checked on our stay a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely seek this property out again on my next stay in the Tampa area. Upon arriving at the home the first thing that greeted us was all the lights in the house were left on. Such a small and simple gesture that was welcoming upon entering a house you are unfamiliar with. We came for a wedding held downtown. Lyft drivers were available to that location within minutes of requesting a ride. So location is premium and the neighborhood is safe and quiet. The beds were so comfortable. All our guests bragged on the comfortable mattress. (Homeowner if you read this we would love to know the brand of mattress) Another simple but much appreciated gesture of hospitality, there was coffee and filters in the cabinet. Thank you 1000 times. The firepit with propane gas already available was enjoyed every night. We had great conversations each night around the firepit. Such a nice way to end a stressful day of wedding stuff. There was also a grill, hammock and patio table in the back yard. BONUS we got to see a real live iguana crawling through the trees. The house was clean and welcoming. This is one of the best houses we've rented through VRBO. If there is any negative, it would be limited parking space. It was a tight squeeze for 2 trucks. Oh and kudos to the cleaning staff the hand tied bow on the toilet was too cute.

Owners were very responsive when we needed something. Could use additional kitchen towels since there is no dishwasher and lights in the laundry area and hallway. My wife was looking for a hair dryer. The area was nice and close for us to get to the game and see Tampa

There were sunflower seed shells on the living room rug, crumbs on the tablecloth, greasy fingerprints in the kitchen cupboard. Dog poop in the backyard, a years worth of dust in the bathroom lights. A pair of socks under the bed. No dish towels, drying rack, or dishwasher. The garbage can was 1/2 full on arrival. The worst part is when I communicated this to the owner, I stated I went to buy paper plates and solo cups I was told I would be reimbursed for their purchase but nothing to compensate for the time spent cleaning prior to settling in. I declined the offer to have the cleaning people come out and do more cleaning because if they cleaned it was not sufficient, and the amount of work would have required hours. We were trying to gather as family for Thanksgiving in Tampa. Everything you see in images is like putting lipstick on a pig. Trashy, poor quality. I even gave the owner the opportunity to make the situation right prior to review. Horrible customer service.

Great small home, for family vacation - perfect location for attractions, restaurants, breweries, etc. Minor issue getting physical address & security information on day 1, but that was resolved quickly. One improvement that needs to be made - is that the front door will not lock properly from The outside when leaving. We to lock door from inside, and then exit out the back every day.

My husband and I took a short trip to Tampa to enjoy some of the stellar restaurants and do some antiquing. This home suited our needs perfectly. It was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The house is bright and open, with a lot of natural light. The photos posted in the listing accurately depicted the property. The neighborhood is residential and safe. It was also very quiet in the evenings. The home was conveniently located near major highways, so it was easy to get around the area. The owners provided several thoughtful touches-quality bed linens, bath towels, and bed pillows, along with coffee and sweetened non-dairy creamer by the coffee pot. There was a wonderful backyard that was fully and securely fenced and nicely landscaped for privacy. A patio table with umbrella and chairs was provided, along with a hammock. We enjoyed the backyard, as did our pups. We would stay here again and would recommend to others.
