Loved this hotel - it has so much character! The downstairs reception/coffee bar area is super nice to just chill in. They're very eco-friendly and support local causes which I love. Situated in a perfect location in Mumbai and they gave lots of tips on sightseeing etc. Staff were very helpful and responsive. Bed and pillows were comfy - just beware the low ceilings! This was pointed out to us when we booked, but just be aware they are very low :)

The shower/sink in our room was not the best kept and looked a bit dirty compared to the communal toilet area which we were surprised by.

This is my favorite place to stay in Mumbai, every time I pass through the city, this is where I reside. The staff is outstandingly kind and all will make all the efforts possible to meet any request you could have. Just the best to me.

Great location in Colaba district, beautiful rooms in an old renovated building and comfortable beds. Staff was very helpful and profesional.

It can get a bit noisy at night since the adjacent road is very busy even at night, luckily they provide earplugs :)

The building is pretty old, so you can expect some old architectural designs(small bathroom, no fans in the room, creaky floorboards etc)

This place is a hidden gem in Bombay, Colaba. We here in search of a good place to stay with reasonable pricing, lucky that i was strolling through booking.com and found this place at the last minute and booked the only 2 rooms available in their property. Abode is a very aesthetic place with modern renovated rooms. We loved this place very much. All the staffs were very friendly and nice. Would give 10/10 to all the staffs in abode. Their breakfast is limited but still very good as it has what you can eat for breakfast with fresh juice and coffee options. We stayed at the Taj and St. Regis after we checked out from here but by far this was the best place for me beating the 5 star hotels too. Location is perfect. staffs are the best Rooms were very good, modern and clean. Especially the fourth floor rooms were amazing. Don't look elsewhere and just book the room here at abode if you get one:)

Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The property location is excellent. Rooms are clean and comfirtable. They did make a blunder with my booking. However, it was corrected when I applied a little pressure. Overall we were very happy. I will book the 4th floor in my next visit.

Since the property is located in the center of Colabar, it is a little noisy at night. But no big deal as we were tiered and fell into a deep sleep.

great staff, very helpful. There are lots of tours that the staff can help you book. The tour guides are amazing, defiantly recommend the 5am morning tour and the elephant island. Lovely breakfast included

The staff were amazing and super helpful during our stay. the location was great in Coloba. They have really thought about the needs of the visitors, even providing a local number to call when out and about! the toilets were kept super clean!

the basic room was a bit small to put open up 2 pieces of luggage. the shower was also a bit small and there was not a lot of space to hang your towel/clothes as you showered. my friend had to leave the room when I needed to come out of the shower to get changed, because there’s no room otherwise.

We loved our stay at Abode Bombay - a lovely place to stay at the end of our trip. Excellent boutique hotel in a nicely renovated old building. Located closely to the Gateway of India and lots of bars, restaurants and other things to see and do. Stylish interiors in the main reception/breakfast areas and in the rooms. The staff were really welcoming and attentive and there were lots of lovely little touches like a mobile phone you can use for hotel contact, a booklet of local recommendations, plastic free water options. I also had a massage in the spa that was lovely, and they kindly helped us arrange a transfer to the airport.

My husband and I loved our stay at Abode and would recommend to anyone in Mumbai. The staff were some of the nicest that I've encountered and they were all very helpful with coordinating transportation or tours. The breakfast had many Indian dishes and they took time explaining what each was. We ended up in a basic room that has a shared bathroom, but honestly did not mind much since the rooms still have a shower and sink. The location also couldn't be more perfect - a nice oasis in the heart of the city.
