It s a lovely stay with two great hosts. Clean room with just enough utilities provided. Delicious breakfast. I should warn you full english breakfast is quite big. I suggest to take half english breakfast which was very satisfactory for one person

The room is a bit small yet enough for one person. The location may be a bit far from the center but again it depends on the purpose of your visit. It is a 15 min walking distance from the center

Very good value for money and large for what was described as a single room. Although it's listed as 'shared bathroom', in fact there was a shower and sink in the bedroom, and the toilet wasn't being used by any other guests.

I stayed at a single room at the top floor. For those who have trouble to walk not a good choice. For me no problem.

Really clean and good attention to detail with decor- with pictures of the local area everywhere (which is particularly nice if you’re interested in the history of Brighton). Well laundered bedding and exceptional cleanliness.. The hosts were extremely welcoming, kind and friendly! As a solo female traveller I felt really safe so would highly recommend if you’re a female on your own! Have stayed in a lot of similar hotels but this was a really extra positive experience. Comfortable single bed, very large and the room was quiet. The hotel is just enough outside town to not hear the noise but close enough to walk everywhere. Made to order breakfast as well, really delicious! Would recommend on the hosts friendliness alone! Top notch experience and throughout. 5 star review from me!

Excellent hosts, who were really helpful and cooked the very best breakfasts. The facilities were excellent and exceptionally clean. Good location within easy reach of many of the main attractions in Brighton.

The only bit i didnt like was the ensuite was quite snug, but i do appreciate in that particular room it had a lot to do with the limitations of the building, it did not ruin my stay and next time I'd probably pay a bit more and book a bigger room.

Melina and Julie offered many great breakfast choices including vegan options.

The Starlings guest house is in a very good position in Kemp Town, close to shops, restaurants and the beach. The owners were really friendly, bedroom was comfy and breakfasts were really tasty.
