Lovely experience easy check in great bed to sleep

Very comfortable accommodations. In the country but close to everything. Claire was a great host. The donkeys were very sweet. They loved their apples!!!

So much quieter than La Quinta for our dog and us. Decent kitchen, living room, and spacious bedroom. It smells like dog in the place, strongly. The coffee pot was too grungy to use. But otherwise, we had a good stay. The donkeys were a bonus.

What a wonderful little place to go back and relax after a long day of trialing my dog. I'll be back!

We stayed at Claire's place in our way back to Texas from Virginia. We loved the place before we even got out of the car. It was very peaceful, we loved interacting with her animals, and we enjoyed coffee on the porch. The apartment was cozy and accommodated is well. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

As soon as we pulled off the busy highway, we entered the quiet countryside. Pulling up to the rental was an even greater treat as we were greeted by few friendly donkeys. The apartment was as described (clean & comfortable) and owner communications were timely (incl directions to their hidden gem). It was very relaxing to sit on the patio and enjoy the donkeys grazing in their pasture just steps away. My fur baby also liked getting out and stretching her legs as we meandered down the drive listening to birdsongs and other wildlife. Quite a treat after a long day on the road.

We really enjoyed the peaceful and safe setting that was close to town with a country feel. The apartment was well stocked with essentials for kitchen and bath so you have less to pack. The bed was really comfortable too! We will definitely stay here again

What a fabulous place! You are minutes away from everything yet you feel like you’re out in the middle of no where. Claire’s cottage was impeccably clean. It had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well stocked and we had plenty of towels. A cute sign also welcomed us by name. Again everything was immaculate and the bed slept great! The cute chairs by the front door are great for relaxing and listening to all the frogs or looking at the stars. And the donkeys were an added bonus. Our granddaughter got a huge kick out of petting them. Claire and Kingsley were the best. Check in and check out was extremely simple and we had no issues. They were very welcoming and answered any questions we had immediately. We hated to leave such a nice relaxing location. But we are thankful to have found Claire’s cottage and we will always look to book here first anytime we are in the area!

I was traveling to Dothan for one night to take my Securities Industries Exam, and was looking for a quiet place to stay. Kingsley and Claire’s rental was exactly what I needed! I arrived in the evening and was welcomed to a quiet, spacious space. My name was written on a welcome sign next to a jar of mints - I thought that was a very sweet and homely touch. I slept soundly through the night and there were no bright lights or loud noises to pervade my sleep. The next morning, I was able to shower, meditate, and watch the donkeys graze on their breakfast, all without disturbance. Both times I texted the homeowners, I received rapid, friendly responses. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay here again when I’m back in town to take my Series 7. Thanks Kingsley and Claire!!

We stopped for just one over-nite on our road tip back to FL. The place was cute, clean and comfortable. A very informative binder was on the coffee table to let us know everything that we needed to know about the home and the area. It was a pleasant experience.

Close to city with a country feel!

This was our 2nd visit. Hosts are great and respect your privacy.

My stay was ok. The directions were fine, the location was fine, but I was not at all happy with the cleanliness or the aggressive dog. The cleanliness was acceptable, unless you like it really clean. The ceiling fans are disgustingly dirty and it made the rest feel questionable. I came back one evening with my husband and 3 dogs after spending the day away and was greeted by a barking dog. I figured that if the dog was aggressive that it wouldn't just be able to roam freely. Well, the dog charged me and I stood my ground, but I got my first dog out and got her inside with just him having an aggressive posture. My second dog was charged and then he was trying to bite her. I'm not sure if she was bit or not, but she let out a few yelps. With that going on I didn't know that the door would lock after being opened with the key, but we found ourselves locked out. My husband had my two dogs against the house and defended them with a broom when the other dog tried to attack them. I walked over to the house, because my cell phone was inside and I couldn't call them. The dog kept running up behind me growling and snarling, but I made it to the back door and knocked. A young girl looked out, but then walked away and wouldn't respond. I walked out of the gated area to the front door, fighting off this dog every couple of feet. I made it to the front door and still nobody would answer. I went back to my husband and dogs and I had him check to see if the window was unlocked and it was. I climbed in the window, with my arm in a sling after surgery and unlocked the door to get everyone to safety. When I got back to my phone, there was a text saying that the daughter called freaked out and if I needed something to let them know. That dog is aggressive and should not be around people or animals. It looked like some kind of Pitbull mix and about 65 pounds. Very scary episode that should have never happened.

This was a great place to stay in Dothan. This was our first night out with our new puppy (8 months old) and it was just perfect for the three of us!

This property is super quite and very nice! I loved staying here the little house was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Everything you need. Would definitely recommend staying here.

My husband, 2 year old daughter, and myself stayed for a night to break up our travels to Florida. My daughter really enjoyed the donkeys after a long travel day, the home was well equipped for what we needed and in a great location off the beaten path yet still close to all amenities in Dothan. We had great communication with the hosts and they are very nice, we will certainly stay here again! Thanks so much for the hospitality!
