Breakfast was amazing. We personally got to meet the chef and the Sri Lankan breakfast was made to order to perfection
Include more options for the Sri Lankan food. We are rich in culture and should encourage more options

Everthing is perfect, it's the best hotel we live for this trip in Sri Lanka. We highly recommend this place. The bed is comfortable and the food is so good. We enjoyed the English traditional dinner a lot.

Well what to say, where to begin!
An amazing location, set amid a tea plantation. You can walk from the property up the hill through the tea plantation to a beautiful view across the valley. Breakfast in the garden, surrounded by nature. A wonderful and luxurious stay.
Nothing!

It’s a beautiful place with kind staff. We only had breakfast en lunch here, but both were really good.
It’s a little bit far from the center and it’s really quite. You can’t have a beer in the evening because they don’t have a license. Also beware of the taxes that are not included in their price. We had to pay an extra 50 euro’s which at other hotels are included.

The Staff were amazing, they treat you like some kind of a Lord of the property, there was a guy who was like a Butler to us serving and looking after us. Dinner was great and breakfast in the Garden was absolutely amazing. so thank you to the Great Staff.

Lovely boutique hotel with only seven rooms located amidst tea plantations on the mountain. The best choice to relax and avoid the noise of Nuwara Eliyia and yet very close to it. Very polite and friendly staff!

Nice large comfortable room, large breakfast
Staff were less friendly/welcoming than experienced elsewhere in Sri Lanka

Amazing and very friendly staff

It's a beautiful place. Quite and away from the hussle and bustle of the Nuwara Eliya town. The staff are excellent.. The best crew I have met in a place like this.. lead by Buddhika, all of them were so accommodative and exceptionally nice. That makes all the difference. The food was exceptional. We really enjoyed our stay.
The fact that the TV is placed so badly covering the windows and the view. I think the room arrangements have to be rethought. And it's a pity that the fire places in the rooms and the lobby are not being lit.. would make such a difference to the ambience of one's stay.

This hotel is very quaint with an English colonial feeling, set in gorgeous gardens. We had a beautiful, massive room with a huge marble bathroom and views out of all the windows. They have kept the bungalow very traditional and it felt very unique. Lakshman and his team were brilliant, making sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Even making us a breakfast box to take with us on our long early morning journey to the airport! We had breakfast outside on the lawn one day in the sunshine, and on our last night they made us a huge Sri Lankan feast - all the food was outstanding!
The hotel is about 15 mins outside of the centre of Nuwara Eliyah but we enjoyed the quiet and views this meant. If you climb up the mountain behind it you can get fantastic views! We also went to the Damro tea plantation, Gregory Lake and Victoria Park while we were staying. There isn’t any drivers accommodation but our driver found somewhere about 500m down the road.

We were warmly welcomed and felt perfectly cared for! Walking around in the garden, the small village down the street or through the teeplantation was easy. Our daytrip to Horton Plains worked perfect and we got helpful answers by the hotelstaff. Food was great and the cook changed plan to offer a Sri Lankan Curry for dinner. His desserts are to die for. Everyone is very obliging.
In our room we felt very comfortable, only a small table would have been nice to have a place for the tea cup.

The colonial look (160yrs old villa) and feel, limited rooms (only 7) , royal treatment, amidst the highest altitude tea plantation in Srilanka.
The calmness around the place is surreal as its around 15min from the city centre and at higher height.
The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious.
Thanks to Arosha,Chaninda, Sanjiwa, Madushana and chef Roshan for the great hospitality and making our 3 days stay here one of the best highlights of our Srilanka trip
nothing m. everything was just great

My wife and I adored the tranquility of the grounds, the attentiveness of the service from Mr Sanjeena, Arosha and Chaminda and the hearty breakfasts and dinners prepared by Chef Roshan. All in all, a memorable experience with beautiful views, delicious food and comfortable rooms.

Out room was amazing - huge and luxurious room; big, comfy bed and great facilities.
Lakshman and all his staff were amazing, all so lovely and helpful and amazing service. Food was excellent too and the chef went out of his way to accommodate our special requirements and make us a Sri Lankan feast from scratch!
Great location in the hills above Nuwara Eliya with great views and walks nearby.
Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

The view from the room was magnificent. The staff (Lakshman and Dhanushka) were very helpful. And, of course, if you want a good steak in the middle of Sri Lanka definitely you can get it here from Chef Roshan. There is no Reception at the hotel. So you don't feel like it is a typical hotel. More like a villa somewhere in England with the dinner served next to the fire place.

Excellent breakfast and service. The property is beautiful, bedroom is spacious and very well decorated. It is surrounded by tea plantations that are worth seeing as well! We loved our stay in this hotel

This review is meant for their langdale property as they were overbooked so we got transferred. The staff were excellent and really went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. The heated pool was amazing and we had a very nice morning walk around the tea estate. Lovely rooms and decor.
The fan in the room was noisy at night, which made it hard to sleep. But again, the staff really tried their best to help us.

Very luxurious rooms. Spotless clean, friendly staff, private atmosphere, big and beautiful garden.
Lamb chops were horrible, chewy and very fatty, it was impossible to cut them with the provided knive, ended in a disaster. Beef was ok but not what I expected when ordering Angus Beef.

Loved the location which is surrounded by tea plantations. It was relaxing and calm. Staff was friendly and flexible with our requests. Vegetarian food was limited but they served us some excellent alternatives which was not on the menu after we asked for it. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, freshly prepared, creative and perfect amount.
More vegetarian menu options would be great. Ceilings in the rooms could be better maintained but apart from it - great stay!

Setting in the tranquil green tea estates of Nuwara Eliya. Structure from last century very beautifully renovated and modified. Room and bathroom fairly good size.
A fair distance from the town so you would need some kind of transport but if you’re looking for a few days of peace and quiet you have found the right place.
