Other than the affordable pricing compared to other locations, not much to be honest. The location is another plus, as it is within walking distance from the MRT station. However the other issues really set it back.

First of all there was no receptionist although the reception is supposed to be open at that time. Then once we open the door we can smell cigarette although it is a non-smoking hostel. There is no lift and it was really dark inside. The whole place was run down and it was not well kept. Someone placed their things in our pod as well. The bedding has stains on it and the pod has lots of holes that were just roughly patched up. The bathroom area was visible from outside the building and does not provide any privacy. It was also quite dirty with cigarette ash.

Cheap, convenient location close to a metro station, very clean capsules and bedsheets, comfortable mattresses. Late check in was no problem.

Showers were quite dirty sometimes (cigarette butts and lots of hair in the drains). It definitely seems like most people are living here permanently. Although it didn't really impact the stay, it did give the place a bit of a weird vibe, so if you're looking for a more social hostel I'd choose another place. Nevertheless it was great value for money and perfectly fine if you're just looking for a cheap place to sleep.

Lady at reception is nice and accommodating, location is ok.

Small paper lying around from the previous guest, bathroom always wet, many long term guests. Floor next to my locker was wet from a guest hanging up his laundry

There is a very nice and affordable place to eat at the same building as accommodation.

It is a little bit crowded and some guest were snoring so loud, that I was struggling to sleep.

The bed is really spacious and comfortable.

The toilets were not really clean.

cheap place to stay in Singapore. The location is not so central but it’s very near the train station which is very convenient - super easy to get to all of the attractions in Singapore, as well as the airport. lovely staff.

location was good. Mattress in pod was comfortable staff were great and moved us when we had a problem, staff were happy to help. the first room smelt cigarette smoke but the lady who was running it found us another pod in another location and even paid for a taxi to get us there.

At this time I would not say this is a backpacker/travel hostel. It appears this is being used as long term housing, people have lived there for a long time and it shows. this is potentially being used as social housing. unfortunately our first room smelt like smoke and smelt unhygienic, this was due to some of the occupants being smokers and spending a lot of time in their pods. pods were run down, broken plastic on both the pods we stayed in. the locks on both the pods were broken. common area was relatively clean but no other travellers just people who lived there, thus the fridge was always jam packed with food and didn’t look clean. place looked generally run down, stains and damaged doors everywhere. multiple signs saying “do not defacate on the floor” which is very concerning. in our second room there was a person staying on a fold out bed in the corner of room and not in a pod. no locker given when we arrived at our second location spacepod@hive . this was rectified by giving us a locker for a different number pod as our locker was broken. when we arrived at spacepod@hive we were checked in by a guest/resident not staff. due to people staying long term there was little space in the rooms as the people staying there had lots of their belongings.
