Excellent idea for a trip between Oslo & Copenhagen: hotel, transport & entertainment combined all in one (and on very cheap of you go just for their cheaper /standard cabins). You can go back the same route, by ferry (you have to take all your bags from the ferry although there are lockers right in the terminal building by the check-ins, just need coins for that), spending about 4 hours in the city in between, from around 10am to 2.30pm (we booked a 1.5 hours walking tour & had time left to browse the streets on our own & have lunch) On a ferry there is good choice of restaurants & cafe, a duty free shop & a night club with quiz/music/performance programme, themed each day. We did not use jacuzzi/sauna but you could, and they were not busy. All restaurants & cafes & their food are good. At Seven Seas restaurant you pay 280 DKK pp & have unlimited buffet, with massive choice. The fresh fish & shellfish were great, as well as meat dishes, bread section & desserts & lots of other meals. Italian restaurant was good too, serves very big portions. Coffee /breakfast cafe was great, excellent coffee & fresh bakery. We booked a return journey, in a standard cabin with window & back without a window, and the one without turned out to be a better layout, with TV & bigger bathroom, and twice cheaper.
Generally all good. Although on the return I was under impression we’ll arrive to Oslo at 9am-ish, and booked a city tour which we were late for as we arrived past 10am & also had a long queue to check out/go through the customs in Oslo (unlike in Copenhagen). Some of the salad/fruit in Seven Seas restaurant were not fresh.

We had so much fun on this overnight ferry trip! We booked a Commodore Cabin, so we had a nicely-sized room on deck 10 with two big windows, and it included free Wifi (you need to take the voucher that's sitting on the table inside the room to the reception desk on deck 7 to exchange it for the free wifi code), two mini splits of sparkling wine and two bottles of water, and a very nice breakfast buffet (on the 8th floor, in the Explorers lounge I think?). The bathroom was compact but very clean and the water pressure and temperature were amazing. We ate dinner at the Little Italy pizza restaurant, and it was fine, the service was friendly and the pizza was a bit better than I expected. We loved walking around the different decks and taking in the views, and we brought snacks with us (there's a mini fridge in the room) and had a fun little happy hour with our sparkling wine, looking out at the water and the islands as we passed them by. I'd definitely take the ferry again, but I would only book a Commodore Cabin, I liked being up on a high deck and having the big windows to look out of, and I appreciated the quality of the breakfast. This was such a nice, relaxed way to travel between Oslo and Copenhagen!
When I booked, I thought that the Commodore Cabin included lounge access, but to get lounge access, you need to book a Commodore Deluxe cabin--this was only a pain because I was planning on getting more bottled water in the lounge, but we couldn't, so we had to buy it on board and it was pricey. So if you aren't booking Deluxe and drink a lot of water, buy some beforehand and bring it with you. They allow smoking anywhere on the decks, so you'll likely get a faceful if you want sit outside; there are a lot of tables though, so we just moved when a chain smoker sat down at the table next to us. I'm not sure our room had been recently used, the surfaces were dusty and I wore slippers on the carpet at all times because it didn't seem super clean, but I could tell the bathroom had been cleaned well and the bed linens were clean and fresh, so I just sort of blocked out the carpet situation.

The overnight travel and the facilities provided were interesting. The journey was amazing and so was the experience!
The VIP lounge is a bit of a joke. Not much of a lounge. Just a place where a couple of food items, drinks and fruits would be placed!

Oceanview, welcome champagne, room service, luxury cruise feeling

The ferry was fantastic and comfortable, however we did find it hard to sleep.
Our room on the 9 floor was above the nightclub which vibrated through our beds until early hours of the morning.
If our room had been in a different location everything would of been excellent.

Good spacious room with sea view, good option for dinner and breakfast.

There should have been a first aid or other possibilities to fight sea sickness

The tax-free shop was brilliant. They had the same price with airport but since we had lots of time there, we enjoyed shopping time there, and the staffs were more friendly.
We got seasick, which is hard to avoid no matter which kind of room booked.

We like the ferry. Its a bit expensive inside but we had fun still.

Great helpful staff, lovely room great view from large window, we selected a room with a view and it was worth it.
Food options several but pricy we went to the wine bar and had some nice wine and cheese. But would have had maybe bought a pack lunch on board. Scandinavia was expensive in generally so it wasn't exclusive to the ferry.

It was an amazing experience
There was no free WiFi. Even after buying 5hours, the Internet was not steady and could make WhatsApp call
4.3
The environment is amazing
The value of everything, even for wifi is necessary to pay.
