Great for us. We had our grown kids, significant others and our two young grandkids. We all had our own rooms and bathroom which was perfect. There was a tub for the little ones. Lots of great puzzles for the little ones and games and books for adults. Pool with shade was perfect. We had an air conditioner issue one day and it was taken care of immediately . Great location, easy bike to beach and south beach. Our family had a great trip.

Great spot in the middle of Sea Pines. Spacious, and perfect for four couples, or two families needing two bedrooms each. House is well-appointed, with great kitchen items and a Weber grill that works like new. Pool and spa are super, as well. Excellent communal area. Host was super helpful and directions and instructions were easily accessible. Don’t forget to rent your bikes, as you’ll definitely want these!

The house worked very well for our group! We enjoyed being in Sea Pines and the house is nicely located, although a bit too far to walk the babies (and stuff!) to the beach! Loved the pool, and the gate at the top of the outside stairs was very helpful for us. We also enjoyed the games available to play! A wonderful vacation!

We loved our time at this lovely home. The house was well-equipped for all our needs. The best part of the home is the covered deck and pool. Loved sitting on the deck watching all the wildlife in the morning. The pool and hot tub were perfect and we appreciated being able to heat the hot tub and pool as the weather was a little cool. We had a great week with family and can’t wait to return!

This is a perfect family house for a sea pines vacation. Easy access to the beach, golf club, beach club and south beach. Harbor town and Lawton stables were just a short bike ride or trolley away. The house was in great condition and equip with all the items we needed to make meals at home. They had some backpack beach chairs in the garage too which were perfect for riding to the beach on your bike. Communication was superb. We have stayed in quite a few places in sea pines over the years and this has to be one of the best we have had. We were regularly updated and sent all information timely leading up to our trip. Highly recommended!

Great location with a trail in front of the property. Short walk to the beach and also it is pet friendly.
Great shade for the pool if you want to avoid e xposure and a covered porch as well.
After renting more than 8 homes in various locations, look nowhere else, this is your home.

Four couples stayed at the Carolina Cottage for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday. It was a perfect setup for 4 couples as each bedroom has its own bathroom. The house is not huge, but the open floor plan was great an allowed eight adults to sit comfortably in both the living room and kitchen. We took full advantage of the heated pool and spa. We took a daily dip in late afternoon watching the wildlife and enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail. The house is close to the beach which was nice. We enjoyed the area greatly and would rent this place again. We inadvertently locked ourselves out of the house which is NOT very easy to do. LOL However, Jonathan responded to my call immediately and we were back in action within minutes. Thank you!

Nice property. Well maintained
House was as advertised. Owner amenities were above expectations. Even provided beach chairs and umbrellas which was unexpected. Proximity to the beach was a little further than we would have preferred but not a deal breaker. Had a couple very minor issues and the owner/property manager responded very quickly to resolve. Only complaint is that the house is very dark inside. Even during mid day sun the living area is so dark you have to have lights on. We have rented houses in Fla, NC and SC beaches before and never experienced this before. For that reason I would not rent this property again however other than that the house was very nice. One other thing. The bathrooms are all very small. Seems very odd because the living space is large
and open. Just a very strange design.

Great House for Family/Friends to Stay!
This was my family’s first vacation to HHI. We had 8 adults, two children and two dogs and there was plenty of room for all of us. This house is very accommodating for a family or friends to stay. House is very well equipped. All the kitchen pans, pots, utensils, coffee pots etc. is supplied. Bathrooms are fully stocked with necessities too. House is VERY clean. Pool was a major plus as the adults and kids enjoyed that as well. Host was very attentive to questions and response was quick. I can say for our first trip (but definitely not our last) to HHI, we all had a wonderful stay here. Left with a lot of great memories that our children and grandchildren will remember forever!

Wow-Best VRBO Property!
This place was unbelievable. The house was very clean, perfectly stocked with cookware/utensils/dishes, great layout for families, and had a truly fenced in backyard with pool and hot tub. The location was perfect- 5 minute bike ride to the beach, 5 minute bike ride to play golf, and 15 minute bike ride to Sea Pines Racquet Club. The whole community has bike paths everywhere so it was quite easy to get around. Jonathan was amazing with communication and organization within the house. Honestly, this was one of the best VRBO house experiences we’ve had. We will certainly be back for another stay. Thanks Jonathan!

Amazing Experience!

Empty Nester & Celebration of Life trip
Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us ... this was our first extended family trip in over 5 years to celebrate putting kids through colleges, helping with a wedding, losing loved ones, & celebrating time with those who remain with us! The location was perfect & easy to bike almost anywhere in Sea Pines! We loved being able to bring our pup who was totally spoiled sleeping on the outdoor porch watching the wildlife every day. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor pool & spa everyday & the views across the lagoon were beautiful for relaxing & Alligator watching. Would highly recommend it ... thanks again

Great Stay
We had a great week at HHI. This house was perfect for our family vacation. We loved the pool and huge open living area inside. Our toddler had plenty of space to run around. Only inconvenience was proximity to beach with our infant baby. We ended up driving and parking at the nearby beach club. But it was easy to bike to beach with our toddler when someone stayed back with infant. Otherwise the house was perfect.

Property was great. Pool and spa were a great place to relax. Very nice to be able to hop on the bike path to get everywhere. Distance to beach access a little longer than anticipated, but not bad by bike. Need a wagon or trail behind to be able to take things to beach.

Full bath for every bedroom was really handy for privacy and for getting ready all at the same time. Cleanliness was a bit off. Tile floors throughout so it should be easy to mop, but the floors seemed to be dirty upon our arrival. The kitchen counters also were not well cleaned when we arrived.One bedroom has three single beds. Those mattresses were awful and should be replaced. The rest of the mattresses seemed fined. It might be worthwhile considering a queen + a single in the 3-bed room, rather than 3 singles. We had two issues issues (entry door lock and garage door). that needed attention while there. The owner was responsive and addressed both very quickly. Super nice guy.

Excellent place to stay
This house is a great choice for traveling with pets. The pool is very large, heated, and is fully fenced in. It even has a spa! The interior is not luxurious but very comfortable and the house is well-stocked. The extra refrigerator in the garage was very convenient for drinks. Only drawbacks are that there are no small plastic cups or bowls so we had to buy paper cups (but I’m guessing the owner will remedy this as soon as he reads this!) and one of the bedrooms is right next to the kitchen. The BEST thing about it is that the owner is very responsive and available for questions and issues at a moment’s notice.

Fantastic pool
This is a great place to stay and the best part is the pool. It is large, heated, includes a spa, and is fenced in (which was particularly appreciated when there was a gator about five feet away on the grass). There is a large deck overlooking the pool with a table that seats eight so that's where we ate our meals. The house is well-stocked except that we had to buy paper cups because there were only two large plastic cups, so nothing suitable for young kids or to use at the pool. (Based on my experience with the owner, though, he'll probably address this issue the same day he reads this comment.) The house even allows use of an extra fridge in the garage which we used for drinks. I'd say the only drawback of the house itself is that one of the bedrooms is just a few feet from the kitchen so people staying in that room hear everything that goes on if someone is in the kitchen. The owner is incredibly responsive and on top of things and you hear from him directly - within moments - instead of waiting to hear back from a rental company. There are three routes to the beach, and I wouldn't call any of them a short walk but they're all an easy bike ride and not a bad walk if you have a beach cart. All in all, a fantastic pet-friendly place to stay.

Nice house and pool with a fence, dog friendly. However, it is not a five minute walk to the beach. There is no beach path to cut through to ocean. You have to drive (or bike) to the public beach.

Family getaway
We came to hang with family who had rented another house in Sea Pines. This property was perfect for us (myself, my wife, our 3 kids, and my mother). Plenty of space and a great setup with 4 bedrooms w/ private bathrooms! Great location and the owner was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend.
