The apartment was as expected, Jako our host was most helpful with remotely letting us into the apartment and helped us with queries. The apartment is quite well equipped, it is very clean and there were nice linen and towels, extra blankets and the WIFI was good. It's a short walk to the main lagoon complex and the children's park. Security to the complex is high and we felt safe. It's really only perfect for a couple - there are small gym mats for young children - although my girls took sleeping bags and pillows - A sofabed would be a worthwhile investment, whereby 2 more guests could comfortably sleep. One really nice element was the diversity at the complex, rarely seen and we enjoyed the mix.

The rules at The Blyde are a little frustrating - not allowed to leave the lagoon without shoes/flipflops, Games Room either crowded or closed, no refreshments at all available by the lagoon. Check in cannot be a minute before 2pm, the most frustrating thing is that on the day of departure you can't use the lagoon, we knew this in advance, but seeing the lagoon EMPTY on a national holiday as most people had stayed Saturday and Sunday nights was v frustrating. The restaurant food is greasy and service is poor and slow. The Games Room, which our children were looking forward to using, was dominated by adults during the day and closes before 8pm in the evenings. The shop was also very disappointing, basically sold crisps, ice cream and swimsuits. The only way to get full benefit of the lagoon (which is AMAZING and lifeguards are attentive and friendly) is to book 2 nights' accommodation - so you then get a day and a half of being able to use the lagoon. I think that owners should lobby the management company to adjust the rules re lagoon access for the day of check out. Also consider a waiter service for drinks by the lagoon, that would be super nice. We had friends who stayed in another apartment for the Saturday night and they were so disappointed that they didn't even sleep there, such a shame. Lots of rowdy people who don't consider other people's space. This place has HUGE potential but needs to think about the whole client experience, which at the moment is missing.

The unit, we searched for a family of 4. This unit was listed. We booked, on arrival finding unit only had old (really old) bed. No space for kids. Had to sleep on floor.

The apartment exceeded my expectations. I dont think there is a place I'd rather be for my holidays than the blyde Jako was reachable at all the times we needed him. I mean give that man a bell, he deserves it😁😁😁

Tidiness, spacious, hospitality. The security was helpful, patient and giving us all equal treatment.

Nothing to fault the facility on as everything was on good point.

The host (Jaco) was incredible. He communicated very well and furnished all the information we needed. He was also available throughout to help with any questions we had. His professionalism was highly appreciated.

Our apartment was very beautiful and the beach was beautiful too

The check in time which is 14:00 don't allow you to enjoy the beach enough cause they also close activities at 17:00 and if you could provide the guest with their rules to enter the beach site when they book to go visit the place it'll make things easier cause going back to the apartment just to fetch shoes as they don't allow you to get on the beach side barefoot. Apartments require lifts as there are too much steps for visitors with their baggage.

We were delayed at the gate upon arrival due to paper work. Access to facilities was a nightmare. It was very loud and we could not sleep. Not ideal for a family vacation if you're looking to relax. Not happy at all!

The apartment we booked was three stories high and they had no lifts and no one to help take the luggage to the room. We booked beachfront apartment but it was a normal apartment with no view. There was no channels on tv and wifi was not working. Very disappointing and definitely not worth the money.

Lagoon is nice but try to fix entrance fee.i don't see y I left suncity here n go and pay lots of money there...

R250 for Lagoon is just too much coz we paid accommodation that it doesn't have pool n y we paid too much again...E.G suncity or any accommodation have pool n valley of waves is an extra thing

We had to spend the Whole weekend with a dirty,full Dustin. *The Fact that we couldn't access the Lagoon *Your Checking in System sucks.. We can't spend more than 30 minutes Cueing to Check in 👎

The place is exclusive 👌, loved every single day spent there.The gym,massage,restaurant ooh not to forget to mention the Lagoon....yooo It's superb 👏the best ever ❤

Apparently the construction is still in progress, The GPS took us to the Bush and we had to ask our Way forward...and the Dust is so bad with the current construction 🚧 happening

The place was affordable and very homely. The owner was polite and reachable the entire time. Perfect place for vacation!

The accommodation was so beautiful, smelt divine! Clean! Jako was so awesome, very quick to respond to our needs. Perfection! The people in the block are so amazing. We met nice people. The security guards are quite friendly as well.

The many rules around the Lagoon. Women have to put a towel over their costume because it's considered "inappropriate" lol. You can't bring drinking water into the Lagoon. The restaurant has false times advertised on the door and no notice for the new times.
