Such a warm welcome we were offered a room upgrade immediately by Zeinab who was very informative about the hotel, its facilities and the local area - what a great start to our stay! The room was extremely comfortable and quiet.
4.1
Location, bed was good size and comfortable
Felt the breakfast was over priced

More or less what was expected, I prefer the Liverpool Malmaison.
I would use this hotel again
Shower over bath, I prefer walk in showers
4.1
The staff are wonderful and so helpful, especially Zeinab on reception. She help my mum and I so much and was such a lovely person. The breakfast was delicious and being coeliac I had so many options and nothing was too much trouble. Great location too.

Room ok
Didn't live up to its name, bar deserted and expensive

My second visit to this hotel!!!
Another quirky, fun hotel, not in the least bland!!!
Beds very comfortable, fabulous bathroom with quality products. Both tea and coffee bags in the room.
A good buffet breakfast, with hot choices cooked to order. Really good gluten free afternoon tea - preordered.
Close walking distance to train and bus stations, Kirkgate market and city centre.
On check in, you get the option of foregoing housekeeping (short stay), if you choose this option you can avail of either a free drink or donation to hotels chosen charity. You obviously can still replenish your room...

Beautiful building, location and very comfortable stay.
Very disappointed that the bar closed at 11pm. We went to a concert & we’re looking forward to a nightcap. Very surprised to find the bar pretty full but closed at 11:10.

Nice hotel, some decor needs updating, eg Tv’s not working etc
Needs double glazing! It was SO loud until 4am in the morning

Breakfast and staff were absolutely excellent.
Pillows very soft.
4.1
The look of the bedroom and the bathroom.
Whilst the bed was dressed beautifully, it was rock-hard. No fridge in the room to store water or lunch for the following day after we checked out.
Lack of cooked breakfast options - I have specific dietary needs and really wanted a hearty, but healthy breakfast i.e poached eggs on sourdough toast however the closest to this was the hard-boiled eggs (I asked for soft-boiled) and burnt toast that I received.
The slim blonde serving in the bar/restaurant was rude and miserable. On the first day, we worked from the bar area and no one was working behind the bar or in the restaurant. Fed up of waiting for 3 hours in the bar, we were hungry and thirsty so we went and got food from the local Co-op and ate it in the bar. The blonde lady came storming in and said we wasn't allowed to consume food or drink not purchased on the premises. I explained we had been there 3 hours and no one had been over to see us, her response was that we could have eaten our food in the street!
The next morning, she came to take our breakfast order and she was equally as miserable and abrupt. I asked if they had sourdough bread as an option for the soldiers and she rudely snapped "only white or brown" My colleagues and I agreed that she certainly needed a course in customer service.

Location
Overpriced tacky rooms. Very cold. No natural light, very dark.
Bar area very drab with no atmosphere. Over familiar bar staff.

A beautiful hotel. Staff were all incredibly polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Bath was a little tricky to get in and out of. No toilet brush.

Great room as always. Lovely staff and great breakfast
Details for booking parking should of been included in the booking details as unable to claim discount not being aware it was now to be booked online.

The room was amazing!
The bed was comfy.
Breakfast was lovely.
We got very little sleep because of all the noise outside, finally went quiet at 5am!

Storm!
Exceptionally polite and helpful.
Parking access and external noise from outside.

The young chap on the bar was lovely, the room was really comfy. Bathroom looked a bit tired but was ok.
If I had to change anything, it would be the prices.

Fantastic Hotel excellent location first class facilities highly recommend
Nothing all good

Location and decor
The bar and brasserie were woefully understaffed. The guys working were great but service was slow as just not enough staff.
Also, I’d expect the TV in the room to offer Netflix or a choice of other channels- that was disappointing

Location and room design
Had to leave without being able to shower. The tap wouldn’t turn any colder than boiling. Huge queue on check out with only 1 lady on the desk whilst other staff hid in the back and didn’t help. Had a Heineken at the bar which didn’t taste or smell right at all.
4.1
Poor description of room for 2 adults.
Size of room and bed not worth the money
4.1
The room was clean and tidy
The room was situated next to the fire exit not able to look out the window the TV on the wall not in a very good place
4.1
Very convenient city centre location, just a few minutes walk away from the train station and shops. Excellent breakfast, lots of choice and staff topping it up too. Staff are friendly and polite. Room was modern and lots of storage space.
People slamming doors during the early hours but this is out of the staff's control.
Shower head needed replacing as some of the rubber nozzles were missing which made the water come out a lot faster (and going over the top of the shower screen onto the floor) but nothing major so advised reception staff on check out. Would stay again but would ask not to be at the end of the corridor/nook in the hopes of avoiding noisy neighbours!

Friendly staff, lovely room and fantastic location. The receptionist asked my husband our plans for the evening and finding out we going to see the Pet Shop Boys as a birthday treat, put a card and voucher for a free cocktail in our room for when we returned! A really lovely and unexpected treat.
Nothing - everything was perfect.

location was great
Room was looking shabby particularly the bathroom. was hoping for a relaxing stay but with cleaning staff vacuuming at 8am that wasn’t to be. also we were not advised that the parking situation had now changed and you only get it discounted by prebooking. this really needs adding to booking.com as it would have saved us over £12. reception staff apologised but said there was nothing they could do at checkout

Breakfast was very good indeed.
Enjoyed a cocktail at the bar.
The restaurant made a little plate with happy birthday written on it in chocolate which was very kind.
The menu in the restaurant was adequate but the choice of mains was limited.

Very close to the train station, which after a long journey was a blessing. Check in was efficient, receptionist was very welcoming (apologies, I didn't get his name). Room and bathroom very clean on arrival. I was ready for a nice coffee in the room only to be met with an Espresso machine and demitasse cups. Bed was very comfortable, let down a little bit by the very soft pillows. Blackout curtains, ideal for a lie in. Very little street noise, so a good night's sleep is guaranteed. Shower was perfect with plenty of pressure. Did not eat breakfast here so can't comment. I chose the option to dine in the room, very convenient after a tiring journey, but gave up after three call attempts and dined out after all. A bit disappointing. Nevertheless a great hotel and central to my needs. I would stay here again.
Would prefer a kettle as opposed to an Espresso machine.

Liked the location and how spacious the rooms were.
The shower water pressure was fab never want to leave lol.
I didn't like the interconnect room as the next door was loud.
The bar was slow, but they were doing other things in the back, and you have to wait to get their attention.
