Location is perfect. Away from the city centre but opposite the beach. Rooms are always spotless and breakfast veggie omelette is s triumph.

The whole place has a beautiful atmosphere and is extremely well decorated and clean, a pleasure to stay there. The hosts are amazing and think of everything. Very good breakfast and menu choice.

Incredibly clean, very friendly hosts, comfy space, nice views and well located - would absolutely stay again. Lots of lovely little touches including an environmentally friendly make-up removing cloth and locally sourced shampoo / body wash. The hosts were very friendly and you can tell that the residence is a labour of love with both going the extra mile - even printing out our show tickets for us when we forgot ahead of travelling to Southend. I really have to comment on how spotlessly clean I found both the room and the shared spaces as this is not always a given when staying away from home!

The residents above woke us up with their noise in the early hours but that's nothing to do with the B&B or the residence.

Time of arrival, met by Buz, great host, showed us where everything was, how it worked re extra's, breakfast lovely,m again great host Buz, thx, we will be back when visiting our Essex family again.

Our stay was very comfortable and we could have easily stayed an extra night. The property is well cared for and nicely presented. I had the scrambled eggs for breakfast which was a treat! We would highly recommended this guest house for anyone staying in or near Southend.

The hotel is excellently located, and has ben beautifully decorated by Jo and Buzz. The rooms are lovely and room 9 has a lovely view over the beach and estuary. It was so nice to stay in a family run hotel that was very cute. The breakfast service was excellent and food made fresh by Jo. We really enjoyed our stay and will consider staying here in the future.

English style B&B, nice rooms, well located, good outlook over Thorpe Bay. Great hosts with Buzz and Jo. Nice breakfast and venue for it. Buzz even gave us a lift to the station.
