This was the sweetest place we stayed in Costa Rica. Claire is a great born-to-be host! Outgoing, helpful and fun to spend time with. Claire priovided a list of close-by restaurants, which alas we did not have time to experience. She provided fabulous breakfasts; her finely landscaped property was abundant with flowers, fruits birds, and monkeys. The cabins were adorable with a comfortable bed, well-appointed kitchen and hot shower. Definitely would return to Hotel El Mono Feliz!

Beautiful garden surroundings including a pool. Nice breakfast. Room was small but comfortable. Excellent mattress.

No outlet in the bathroom. No mirror outside of the bathroom. Blow-dry was complicated.

Breakfast was great with fresh fruits and a few choices. The pool was nice, and the property was beautiful and full of vegetations and birds. Good restaurants nearby.

The room is pretty small and doesn’t have a comfortable place to sit indoors except for two dining chairs (there is a better outdoors sitting, but it isn't useful when it rains). Most of the things to do in the area are close to Uvita. This means you need to drive 15+ minutes every time.

We loved the garden and all the birds we saw in there, the staff was amazing (especially Sofia, she helped us everywhere and gave us tips for activities), the breakfast is so good and there are different meals everyday, wifi worked well, the location is very nice, all in all - we had a great time there! Would love to come back!! We felt so welcomed!

Extremely clean and nice view. Perfect place to stay relax. Clare is the most nice and educated person that I ever meet. The rooms are clean and all work in the perfect way. Delicious breakfast And good parking.

Claire is an amazing host. Her Gallopinto is exceptional! The location of the hotel is very good, close to great natural attractions and very good restaurants.

The cabins were cute and cozy and there were lots of pretty flowers and plants and hummingbirds. The ground go all the way to the river which is lovely.

Nuts falling from the trees constantly onto metal roofs made it hard to sleep.

Tucked away in the foothills of Ojochal, the location is far away enough from other properties that it allows a good sense of nature & beautiful jungle setting. Our two bedroom bungalow was well equipped with enough in the kitchen if you feel like cooking, you’re unlikely going to want to considering the vast array of cuisines that the area has to offer. Wonderful host Claire was very inviting, happy to offer suggestions & served us up a delicious breakfast each morning. Check out playa Ventanas early early morning for something special, also some wonderful Cataratas in the area too. As with other properties in the area, this one too is highly recommended.

Breakfast was quite memorable cooked by Claire and of course the kids loved the pool. Would return any time - the best kept secret in Ojochal!
