The location is unbeatable.

Bathroom was a little small but still it was worth every penny.

This is an excellent place to stay in Colaba. The room was huge and spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and strong reliable wife. The location is perfect, literally just 5 minutes walk to the Gateway of India. The staff were super friendly, especially Roshan who helped me with everything I needed and asked for. Highly recommend this place.

These are not criticisms, just a few things to be aware of. 1. Accommodation in Mumbai is generally quite expensive and a little below what you might expect in other countries for what you are paying. While the price might seem high at first, I found it to be excellent value all things considered in Mumbai. 2. The bathroom in the room I rented is not in the room. It was my own private bathroom, but just a few meters away. This is mentioned on Booking.com, but just something to be aware of.

Location, location, location. Close to the Taj and Gateway to India. The B_B is in a nice old building in a beautiful, quiet Colaba street, restaurant nearby. Staff were all charming, helpful and friendly, but in the wrong job.. I'd go back but I'd think twice about taking someone very fussy about cleanliness and tidyiness..

Not very clean and very untidy. Staff are all young men, which no doubt explains the state of the place. The breakfast was toast and butter with jam, coffee, plus eggs I think, but they'd run our of butter. How hard it it to check you have butter in for tomorrow's breakfast boys? The staff of young men have probably spent their entire young lives being cleaned for, cooked for and waited on by mothers, sisters, wives, maids If it was staffed by women it would be a very different vibe.

Spacious room and nice staff. The view of the balcony and the location was fantastic.

The breakfast was a bit bland compared to other places in similar price range. The sign was not clear enough that confused us the first time we arrived there.

Hotel nie ma żadnego szyldu, oznaczenia na ulicy. Bardzo go trudno znaleźć nawet taksówkarzom. Większość pokoi przy głównej ulicy, gdzie dzień i noc jeżdżą i trąbią samochody. Nie da się spać ani otworzyć okna. Personel sztywny, niezbyt przyjemny. Pierwszej nocy przez godzinę szukaliśmy tego hotelu. Szyld jest dopiero na piętrze budynku. Personel nie odbierał telefonu, co utrudniało dotarcie na miejsce. Śniadanie śmieszna tosty z marmoladą każdego dnia.

The location of the hotel is excellent, and the room was comfortable. I was looked after by Somanth, who is a lovely and very helpful fellow, and who made me delicious coffees and breakfasts.

The chap in charge (possibly the owner?) was a lot less friendly/welcoming than Somanth. I had asked when making the booking for a room with either a balcony or at least a window looking out onto the street, as I was there for almost a full week, but this wasn't offered - despite there clearly being several such rooms. I also thought it was rather mean that he refused point blank to even discuss extending the check-out time on my last day, given that I had just paid him almost a full week's rent.

I had booked for 2 nights. When I arrived at 6am, I was taken to a different location to the one advertised, in the dark with very little explanation, except that it’s all part of the same ‘hotel’ and that the one I booked is full. We got to the room and I noticed that it wasn’t clean (I thought it was just dust), but I was willing to look past it because I needed to rest after traveling for over 24hrs. When I started preparing for bed, I realised it was WAY MORE than just dust. The pillows and sheets smelled awful, they had hair and stains all over them. There were also bugs on the bed, so you can only imagine the state of the mattress. The floors were disgusting. I’ve attached photos of everything I describe. I couldn’t risk sleeping here (or even sitting on the bed), so I stood around inside the room until I heard the housekeepers awake at about 7am. I walked out to let them know that I can’t stay in a place like this, and they insisted that I pay for a night’s stay because they held the room until my arrival. I refused to do so given that the room was in no state to be used by ANYONE, and that I hadn’t touched anything in the room during my 1 hour long “stay”. I booked myself into a different hotel during the hour that I was there, and made sure to call and text the “24hr reception” before doing so in case they had a solution, but they didn’t respond to messages. When I saw them in person, they offered to put me in another room (which I didn’t accept because even the general areas of both establishments are dirty and I had already secured other accommodation when I didn’t hear from them when I called & texted). More to that, they tried to make me sit & wait at reception for 2hr30mins in order for their boss to arrive to work so I could discuss my refusal to pay with him. Obviously, I refused, and told them we can resolve it via Booking.com customer care. If hygiene matters to you, then this place is definitely not for you. P.S.

Туалет и душ вне номера по коридору дальше. Мебель есть не очень. Сложно найти , так как нет вывески на улице!!! Вывеска внутри здания над дверью - это нужно подняться по ступенькам и там внутри есть вывеска с названием!!!

Een kamer naast de keuken is zeer gehorig. Er wordt tot 23 uur afgewassen en gerommeld. Slapen is dan lastig.

We appreciated the character of the building, as well as the simplicity of rooms. The room was also very large which was nice.

Nothing to dislike but as others have said very basic breakfast hot drink with jam and toast.

Great location few mins walk from the gateway to India, plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and markets. Great local vibe and very friendly people. The hotel is old colonial style, but this gave the place a certain charm. Given the location the BnB is affordable in comparison to other hotels. Downtown Colaba is expensive for India standards.

We had a front room and the traffic noise is bad. Beds a bit hard and breakfast could be a bit more imaginative.

I loved the location on a quiet lane in the middle of Colaba - it was easy to walk anywhere & I felt very safe. The mansion & my room had lots of personality and was clean. The staff was very sweet & helpful & I enjoyed my time there a lot. I would definitely stay there again.

Good location, right on Colaba Causeway. Room was large. If you are on a budget I would recommend, but be aware of the negatives below.

Very cramped bathroom and no hot water. I wouldn’t really call this a bed and breakfast. Breakfast consists of some toast (which we declined as we wanted something more substantial) which is only available in the room. Aircon and fan were very loud. Beds were extremely hard, even by the standards set in other hotels/hostels. The pillows were even harder. Linen was stained.

Good and clean room in small scale hotel in a quiet street near a main road right in the old center. If you like the classic style. Our sons had a seating area on the old balcony, but external -probablynot private - bath room. Our bath room was private, clean enough and functioning.The hotel is old and bath room dated, but renovations were going on.

You can only have breakfast in the room.

I am really glad to stay in this place. The location is the best giving the fact that it’s right in the center of colaba. The room was big and there was also a sitting area in the balcony in case you want to enjoy the city vibe.

I went back to the room after midnight. I couldnt access to the room because the door was locked. I had to call the staff.
