Parking and the elevator/stairs area are a bit far when you need to carry and watch over the younger kids with all the luggage.

The Location is very handy if you're travelling throughout different countries, good services for small children especially when travelling for long hours and need to stretch a bit...Comfy and clean rooms with nice wooden balcony. Exceptional service from the staff, very friendly and caring. A special thank you to Giuseppe and Stephanie who really helped me during my stay as I wasn't feeling very well and made sure I had an appropriate dinner & breakfast to suit my needs. I'll definitely recommend this hotel!

It is a bit pricy as everywhere else in Switzerland so it is to be expected. Not really a complaint as I enjoyed my stay 😊

Slept two nights in hotel Chärnsmatt, not knowing that it is also a "playground". So many stray children. However it was for now not disturbing. The hotel has a very friendly reception/bar (Rita Vogel) and an excellent breakfast. Room is functional with soft mattresses on a hard surface. So, perfect. Bathroom with bath and toilet (70's with beige tiles) are functional. The rooms are as always warm in Switzerland, so immediately switch off the heating and open the window. All in all, a fine hotel on the basis of P&K (P&Q) for temporary stay. Perhaps for families with children an eldorado, but that was not my intention.

However, the shower was poor. Only 1 suspension point at 100 cm height, so I had to use 1 hand to wash my hair. That is less comfortable

Great play area inside and out for the kids. Good continental breakfast, nothing cooked but that is common in Swiss hotels. Family room was good with bunk beds for kids and plenty of space for a baby bed. No room service but no problem to order food and bring to your room. Play area inside is good, play area outside is exceptional. Our kids took ages to explore it all.

The hotel is closed on a Monday so we had the hotel to ourselves overnight, then let ourselves out after breakfast. Food is good but restaurant is not open so often. Opens very late for children and we had to order from the very limited bar menu, we also got takeaway one evening and the staff were very supportive to find a good place to eat it. If you order from the menu order a large portion. The walls are thin so you hear a lot of movement. The outdoor toys (electric cars and swings) have very limited usage times so take advantage anytime they are functional. None of the negatives would stop us staying here again but important to be aware of
