The location was great. The staff was wonderful. They take you from the center when you arrive and back. We reached out to them via WhatsApp upon arrival to the island, got a quick answer and they came to take us.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing, 90% sweets and without vegetables. You need to rent a bothroob for the spa, 10 Euro per person. The Air condition was only on heat, and I couldn't change that mode and they said they can't because the entire hotel is set at the same temperature (May, 25 degrees Celsius outside).

The hotel very cleanly and the shuttle is conveniently.

Good mix of choices for breakfast

Location tricky for eating out but the hotel rotor be happy to take you free by shuttle to the bus Straton and back , but for resting so ate in hotel which was very good anyway and a great chef and serving team

The staff was very friendly and ready to help with everything. The shuttle from/to the city was very convenient, no need to worry about how to go to the city or carry luggage from the port. It was too cold to swim in the outdoor pool, but the pool area looked great so would love to come back in summer. An indoor pool and sauna area is small but does have everything you need to relax after a day of walking and exploring the island. Breakfast was good, plenty of sweet things as Italians like, but also eggs and other things. Definitely recommend!

it is very quiet, perfect for relaxing. the spa is excellent with wonderful massages by Ana. we stayed for three nights, and had gorgeous food and delicious wines (Daniel the sommelier is very knowledgeable and suggested some great local wines). The Chef in the restaurant gave us really good food and on two nights did a special order menu, which was the best Scampi Fritti we have ever tasted. highly recommend. Personnel are very friendly and helpful, thank you to Donatella, Maria, Manola and everybody for making our stay so relaxed and pleasant. we shall be back! Hilary and Alain Brocart

Grifo is the most wonderful place to stay on stunning Ischia. The location, welcome from all staff, attention to detail, food, facilities and ambience are all exceptional. This is a gem of a place to stay and we will return.

Amazing staff - particularly Antonio and Maria, they could have not been more helpful if they tried! Breakfast was good, spa facilities are very clean and well maintained, the free navetta service really useful and lifesaver! The anti-stress massage was really good. We would definitely recommend the hotel to anybody visiting Ischia.

We paid extra for Superior Room with sea view - but room 201 did not feel too 'superior' and the sea view are on the side and quite a distance from the edge of the property. It should not be classed as 'superior' in our views. We would not select this room in the future. Also the note on the door stating no food or drinks from outside allowed at all was a a bit threating... The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, no free bottle of water provided per day and no minibar/no coffee and tea facilities in the room... They might had issues with people bringing all sorts in the past hence the note but we did not like the limitation as forced you to drink at the Hotel all the time.

Highly recommend. Not a place to stay if you want to walk to town as it's up on a hill, but has spectacular views of the bay and only 5 minutes away by car or scooter. Staff is extremely kind and accommodating, well kept grounds, beautiful pool. It's a small boutique-sized hotel, we stayed in a junior suite and loved it. They arranged rental scooters for 35 euro/day and that was a blast. Rooftop garden in the evening is magical. Had a great massage for only 50 Euro, very reasonable for a hotel. If/when we return to Ischia would not stay anywhere else.

Restaurant is very good but dinner menu limited. Not a negative if they had something you want and there's always choices. Service is wonderful

Nothing - great hotel.

You will not find a more accommodating hotel than Grifo! All of the staff went out of their way to be kind and helpful. They will call you cabs to get around the island and when possible, will take you down to the port for free on their shuttle. The pool is awesome and the location on the island is perfect. The views from the hotel, both the mountains and the sea, are stunning. I would recommend Grifo to anyone looking for a hotel on Ischia.

We had a great stay at the Grifo with a couple of exemptions- the bed was as hard as a rock, the shower in the room was half the size of the shower in the picture on the website, and although lunch was great, both breakfast and dinner were average to below-average. Antonio and the waitstaff were amazing, but there is room for improvement in the kitchen.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive to our needs at the reception, spa, shuttle and at breakfast time. The shuttle service was a great bonus to take us in and out to the port. The room was extremely clean and the situation and grounds of the property are beautiful with great views. Thank you!

A robe would have been good in the bathroom.

The staff is super friendly and polite! We loved the thermal bath in the Spa which we could use everyday! The hotel offers free transfer to Ischia Porto which is super conveniant! The hotel is very very clean and well organised! We highly recommend this hotel for your stay on Ischia! :D

The room we picked had a great view and facility. The hotel staff was always extremely kind and helpful, we were also offered a private shuttle service to the harbor.
