I was soo impressed by Hyatt Place Waco South! My first impression was especially significant -- walking into the lobby, I was blown away by how artfully designed the space was. I genuinely enjoyed walking into the hotel at the end of each day.
Really, the ONLY thing I liked less was the fact that there was a locked cabinet in my room (I'm assuming some sort of utility closet, possibly housing internet routers or something?) that occasionally made loud humming sounds. However, I really only noticed this on my first night, and it seemed to get quieter over time, to the point that I didn't feel a need to ask to move. So it was really a small thing! :)

Location was good. Breakfast was good.
Very thin walls and could hear all neighbors.
Everyone I knew who stayed got bitten during the night. One of them saw the bed bugs in her bed. Staff didn't seem to care when brought to their attention. Had to take huge precautions to not bring them home.

The room had a very very strong smell. Every time you entered it took your breath away.

The breakfast was a full breakfast which was good! Not just a cereal and bagel bar like most. Food was good also!
If I had to pick a bad thing, it would be the water pressure. It was weak and you had to run the water for several minutes to get it hot. The mattress was also old. Had valleys in it that you had to sleep in. Really need to replace or at least flip. Pillows need some TLC also!

This hotel exceeded expectations! We only stayed one night because we had activities planned in a nearby city, and we wanted just an affordable place to sleep. I was surprised at how nice, clean, and amenity filled it was! The bed was SO comfy too!
We utilized the gym which was 83 degrees for some reason. It was so hot we had to cut the workout short. Someone came in to look at it though, so it looks like they were aware of the situation and working on it.

Great staff!
One of the beds was low on one side hight on the other. The sofa bed was already out and pillows were off the couch. A string of hair in the bed.

The breakfast needs improvement and the door to our room was extremely hard to open. This seemed to be the case for the rooms next to us as well.

Loved the location loved everything the pool my girls enjoyed very much the staff was amazing 😍
Breakfast Kitchen staff I heard complaining about guest wiping out everything. I don't know if it was referring to us being Hispanic her attitude could have been better.

The door to enter/exit room 418 had to be pushed and pulled extremely hard. So unlevel. If 1 is like that there are more. The wood at the top of the door itself is starting to deface. Sad that this has been left like that knowing there is an issue.

It was a very great place to stay.. everything was just right.
Only thing I didn't like was the snack selection in the lobby. Other then that everything was great.

Rooms a rundown, need maintenances as well as updates- doors are hard to open and shut. Property was dirty and odd smell throughout.

Comfortable beds, clean facilities, clean pool and clean room.
I was skeptical at first when I read the comments but the property is well maintained, at a good location, and their staff were all amazingly helpful.
Will plan on staying here again if I'm ever in Waco again
Tv remote lagged when you pressed the button but this is no biggie
