Property was new, clean. Room was spacious, well designed, and furnished. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.

Our room was next to the bar so it was a bit noisy at night. A mini fridge and a trash can for the bedroom would be nice amenities to add to the room.

1. The breakfast was a disaster due to serious lack of staff during peak hours. The quality of the food is not at the level one would expect based on the cost of the room. 2. The total cost was a way higher than what we had expected from the quote on Booking.com. Over 20-25% in our currency (CAN). This is due to the fact that instead of using USD as a reference, the hotel charges in pesos at MEP rate. So instead of paying about CAD $400 per night, we were charged the equivalent of $500 per night……. A total rip off. Both of these reasons made a stay that could have been nearly perfect, a rather unpleasant one.

La atención de Kira en recepción. Nos explicó cada sendero para llegar correctamente. El apart 9 es amplio y cómodo. Tiene todo lo necesario para pasar tu estadía sin preocupaciones. El desayuno es rico y variado.

Arnaque. Booking affiche un prix en pesos argentins (ARS) lors de la réservation. Il est également précisé que l'établissement demande un règlement en dollars (USD) de cette somme. Attention cependant. L'établissement n'utilise pas le taux de change du "dollar turista" qui est pourtant celui retenu par tous les établissements hôteliers, restaurants, entreprises de transport que nous avons réglés depuis le début de notre voyage en Argentine il y a un mois. Les cartes Visa et MasterCard retiennent également ce taux de change "dollar turista" lorsque vous réglez par carte bancaire. L'établissement Senderos impose lui le taux de change "dólar oficial" ce qui revient à payer 2x plus cher environ la prestation. Avec leur combine, en réalité, la nuit n'est pas à 70.000 pesos mais à 140.000 pesos, ou bien à 200 USD. L'établissement prend un prélèvement automatique, ce qui ne laisse pas de porte de sortie. N'espérez aucune assistance de Booking sur le sujet, ni en français, ni en espagnol ni en anglais. L'établissement cherchera sans doute à se défendre en répondant à ce commentaire, mais cela ne compensera jamais sa mauvaise foi. Parlons maintenant de la qualité du logement pour 200 USD la nuit. Vous avez : un bâtiment moderne sans charme mais fonctionnel au bout d'une route en terre battue, une vue sur une sorte de chantier / terrain vague, une déco banale... Bref, c'est une escroquerie. Pour ce prix là, à Salta, à Cafayate, à Mendoza, aux Alerces...et même dans l'extrême nord du pays où les conditions sont aussi difficiles qu'en Patagonie, vous avez un logement avec du charme, une piscine et des gens gentils. Donc pour notre part, cela sera le pire rapport qualité-prix de notre voyage. Une arnaque en fait, comme cela arrive quand on voyage au long cours. El Chaltén est une belle destination avec beaucoup d'options de logement. Passez votre chemin et cherchez ailleurs.

This hotel is a great place with a delightful breakfast. The rooms are well-maintained and equipped with good facilities. The staff is excellent and very accommodating. The street where the hotel is located is pretty quiet (well, let's be honest the whole city is very small, and if you step from the main street, quiet)

The main nasty surprise was the pricing. I had Argentinian Peso turned on as the currency in the Booking.com app, and the final pricing was more than double that number. How did it happen? Well, the "venue currency" is USD and I believe that Booking.com uses the official exchange rate, the hotel at the same time uses not the official rate, and not even the "dollar blue", but what's called a "dollar turistico", i.e. special exchange rate created to rip off tourists. So the place is quite good, but the amount you pay is unreasonable.

It was an absolutely wonderful stay. The care, attention to detail, and warm welcome were above and beyond. Highly recommend! The bed is also very comfortable and the apartment has everything you could think to need.

Really comfy having your own serviced apartment. You can cook your own meals if you'd like, but we opted to eat out and try Argentinian steak. The staff here were lovely.

The heating is centralised, so if you want to turn it up, you'll need to ask reception. The breakfast was a little basic.

Breakfast could be better

Staff (everyone!) was helpful, full of knowledge about the area, friendly and eager to assist. The location couldn't be better, just off the main street but quiet. The apartment is perfect for a family with children, with a nice kitchen and living room and 2 spacious bedrooms. Very clean. Good value for money, highly recommended.

WIFI was not strong in the room at the very end of the building, the hotel does not do laundry (not an issue as there are several laundry services in town)
