The location on the lake in the centre of Sachseln was ideal. The area is quiet.
The inn itself was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. All details - robes to use the shared bathrooms, towels to go for a dip in the lake, as well as extra toiletry items - were thoroughly thought out.
Finally, a coffee machine to make tea or coffee at any hour was available in the breakfast room. As for the breakfast itself, it contained all we needed, including a beautiful fruit salad, something that is too often missing. Yogourts, bread, cheese,s meat, and eggs set us off adequately for the day's hike.
While the walls were thick and barely anything creaked, there are still people who don't know how to close doors, walk down a flight of stairs, or keep their voices down while in their room, all essential manners in tight quarters. That said, we were able to sleep well once everyone went to sleep.

We stayed at this property for three nights and I have got to say this is the cleanest house we have ever stayed in. Lovely location and views! Friendly and helpful host! We had amazing time!

Great location and view, great breakfast, very friendly and accomodating. Planning on returning for another ski weekend soon.

Everything was very clean, well looked after. She was very kind and helped us with all the things we asked for. Location was excellent. We truly enjoyed staying at Verena's! Hope we can come back some day (looking forwardy for hiking the area again, already climbed Pilatus!).

Warm greeting, exceptional interior design. The lakeside location is excellent with amazing views. It’s a quiet village, very relaxing, and convenient for traveling too.
The 17:00 check-in was not so convenient.

The house is spacious, very comfortable, recently refurbished and very nicely decorated. The view from the room over the lake and mountains is impressive. The host Vreni gave us a warm welcome and was very friendly and extremely helpful during the whole stay. Excellent place to stay when visiting central Switzerland!
