Very spacious apartment with kitchen facilities, very handy

Cleanliness was bad. The bin was full, the apartment smelled, the couch reeked of sweat with visible stains, the bathroom tub was specked with dirt, no bathing soap on the bathroom and when I asked said they did not provide one(did not see this on their policies list), the bed was poor quality and beddings did not smell fresh, smelled reused.

Upon arrival the internet was not working and after contacting the apartment manager she said she was at home and could not do anything about it. My issue isn’t just that the internet didn’t work. The issue is the lack of help from the apartment owner. Her response was “Well I’m at home now” meaning she was not able to help. But if you are taking the job on of being an apartment manager then it is your problem and you should do everything in your power to help. Otherwise don’t manage a set of apartments. No one said it’s a fun job but if there’s a problem then it’s your job to fix it. Not make poor excuses and expect the customer to just deal with it and then take their money at the same time. The hob did also not work. Considering I booked this apartment so I could cook and save myself money, it ended up costing me money as I could not cook my food. I thought it was strange every single window in the apartment was open. But this made sense later when you notice there is a strange smell which is a combination of either bad drains or damp running throughout the entire apartment. I even noticed it upon waking up so it is not a smell you get used to. It is also down a noisy alley. Some man was banging on the main door at 2:45am for 15 minutes clearly trying to wake someone up to get into the building. The apartment also has the SHORTEST window to check in known to man. You can only check in between 3-6pm. And if you want to check in early or late you get charged. I’m well travelled and have never stayed anywhere with only 3 hours to check in. The wording of the booking always makes it seem like you can check in with when you want as it says to use the special requests but don’t be fooled like I was. This apartment is not fit for purpose. No internet, broken appliances, old uncomfortable bed, no shampoo and shower gel. Even the Ibis has a basic 2 in 1 in the bathroom. There wasn’t even an oven mitt so I used a towel to take my food out the oven! All in all, terrible.
