We were very pleased with out stay at this property. Everything was as expected and as described in the listing. The location is phenomenal, right on the beach, no walkway between you and the water- just sand :) It felt very private and quiet. We loved the extra beach toys and bikes that were available in the garage. There were plenty of towels to get us through a 4 night stay for 2 adults and 3 children (beach and shower). I was worried that parking would be an issue but we never had trouble finding a spot on the street. If you stay here with kids just know that it is not a walkable distance to the pier but the privacy and peace that you get being further away is worth it. Things that I wish I had known: there is no dishwasher but when we stayed we did find some paper plates available in the unit which decreased the amount of time we had to spend washing dishes. In the kitchen there is a coffee maker and tons of coffee filters available as well as cooking spray and some basic spices- which was nice to not have to buy all that stuff for a short term stay. The only thing that I would suggest as an improvement was the bedding was kind of run down and stained- specifically the extra blankets/pillows that were available in the closet for the pull out couch. It was just kind of old and gross but not a game changer in my opinion. We would definitely stay there again.

The location was nice. We had two vehicles and parking was extremely difficult. We stayed for 8 days. The beach was fairly quite in front of the house, which was nice. We felt the house could have been cleaner. The carpet felt very dirty and there was at least an inch of dust on vents. The house was supposed to come supplied with linens for 5 people (8 days). We literally got 5 bath towels, 5 beach towels, no wash cloths, no dish towels. In the middle of the week, either the property manager or the owner came by and took 1/2 of the chairs that were on our patio and kept them for the rest of our trip. That left us short, on chairs.

The details of the property outlined in the VRBO were on point. The cottage was comfortable and clean. Beach access right in front of the cottage made it easy to walk right out to the beach and settle in. The owner provided chairs, volleyball nets, towels, bicycles which made it easy to relax. You should know that parking is crazy but the owners were very helpful to us and helped secure some spaces prior to our arrival. It was helpful to manage my expectations since we rented during the 4th of July which makes parking more of an issue. We did have an issue with the cable box but the owner did send someone to fix it after a text. Overall, I would recommend this property for it's quiet location (except 4th of July :)), access to the beach, beach items provided for family fun and responsiveness of the owner when / if issues arise.

Great location although parking not always available. The cleanliness was horrible. There was left over food in oven, kitchen in disarray, bedding thrown in a wad in the closet. Someone else’s clothing behind dresser, dirty furniture, worn out towels and general unclean feeling.

We had a great stay in Newport Beach at this property. The location is quiet and only a short bike ride away from the restaurants/shops. We loved the fact that once you step off of the patio you're on the beach. Will definitely plan on staying here again.

My family and I loved this property-it was the perfect setting for our first 7-day beach vacation. I can’t say enough about the experience or the property. I felt completely at home the minute I walked in with the windows opening allowing the ocean breeze to fill the main room. The view-breathtaking. The bungalow was appointed with everything we needed for the week-all we needed to bring was a swimsuit and sunscreen. There are beach chairs, body surfing boards, bikes, sand toys and an umbrella in the garage. The owners are fantastic. They even had a parking space close to the property saved for us when we arrived to check-in. The location is perfect. The beach was never busy, even on the weekend. It’s close enough to the Newport Pier to ride bikes when we wanted to be close to the action, but far enough away that there was nothing to do but relax at the shoreline or on the patio as my six-year old grandson played nonstop in the sand right outside the patio. At the end of most vacations, I’m ready to head home, but on check out day, we squeezed out every last minute we could-we did not want to close the gate and walk away. If you are looking for a wonderful home for your Newport Beach stay, this is it. Enjoy!

We just got home from our wonderful beach vacation at this rental property. We stayed 10 days and can’t wait to return. We arrived at the house for check in and the property exceeded my expectations. It was clean, the view was breathtaking, and the house is decorated adorably (beach vibe decor). We are a family of 5 and the house was the prefect size for our family. My fiancé and I had the master, our two youngest boys each had their own beds in the guest room, and the couch pulled out to a queen sofa bed in the living room. We were all comfortable in this home. Speaking of comfort, the bed in the master is amazingly comfortable. Being pregnant, I have not been sleeping well lately (aches/pains) but I couldn’t stop raving about the bed. My fiancé joked that I spent most of the vacation sleeping! The location of this property is perfect. I loved that it is directly on the sand with no boardwalk. Having the boardwalk means people walking, riding bikes, etc past your property at all hours of the day/ night. We didn’t have to worry about this. The location is so private! Having young children I felt completely comfortable letting them go out to play on the sand without me. The gorgeous large windows allowed you to see everything all the way out to the water. The view never got old! The property offered tons of beach cruisers for our use. With very active boys it was nice to ride to the donut shop, pier, and around the neighborhood. We brought scooters for the boys and the Newport pier is only 1.7 miles from the house. It was the perfect distance for a short ride to breakfast, lunch, or some ice cream! There are also multiple parks in the neighborhood walking distance from the house. When we wanted a change of scenery my fiancé and I took a longer ride over to Huntington Beach approximately 3.7 miles from the house where we went to lunch, shopping, or a change of scenery. The location of this property is really perfect. On the weekend, our friends came to spend the day, bbq, and hang on the beach with their kids. There are two hotels directly across the street, walking distance, for guests to stay and not have to drive home the same day. Our friends stayed at Solarena and next door is Newport Coast Inn. There is also a liquor store directly across the street with groceries and anything you need. You really could rides bikes everywhere you need to go. We barely used our car at all! I am looking forward to making this an annual vacation!

We stayed Dec.23 2018-Jan.1,2019-9 nights-It’s a good unit,great view and beach access. No dedicated parking,crowded public street parking if available. I would be more specific in the ad for laundry it’s a coin-op shared laundry not in unit(I wasn’t expecting to bring quarters) First few days we were a bit on edge with the mice situation,definitely some clawing in the walls of bedroom but didn’t hear after 3rd night. We enjoyed relaxing quiet time for 2-3 days after that,till the arrival of upstairs occupants for the remainder of our stay. It’s quite loud from downstairs with heavy foot traffic and the sliding patio door at all hours. It was quite awkward to relax on patio with people overlooking you on their patio,so we didn’t really get to go out much. And having people from the upper unit come on the lower patio(which is suppose to be for only you)right in front of main windows,always walking through ,hanging out and using bbq made us keep the shades down and not enjoyable or comfortable to lounge privately inside or out watching the ocean. Wasn’t the romantic ,relaxing nor quiet private week we were hoping for. Hope this helps for future guests.

We had a great stay at the beach house. It was perfect for our family of 6 and had everything we needed and more. The location was amazing and Gary was very accommodating. We will definitely be booking our next beach getaway here.

This place was perfect for our family vacation! We have two little girls and being right on the sand was all we wanted! They had lots and lots of sand toys! Patio was perfect for coffee, grilling out and relaxing! Literally seconds from the water! The owners were so sweet! Gary was extremely accommodating! Vrbo's website accidently let us book a day (Monday to arrive), when the family before us had the property booked until Tuesday... Gary called right away to figure out a plan. We had already booked our flights... Gary offered us a free night stay at their other property... We changed our flights to Sunday so we could have an extra day and not have to move to the other place after one night! He stated that vrbo has never double booked a day like that since he has been renting! He did whatever it took to make sure our stay and transition to this property went smoothly! Long story short, we LOVED this place and will definitely book again in the future! Great location and awesome views! Thanks Gary for everything! We had the best trip!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this vacation rental - the perfect, pre-Christmas getaway! We traveled from western Oregon, so the mid-60s, sunny weather was a real plus. The rental was very clean and completely comfortable for our family of four. The owners were very quick to respond to questions and very pleasant in all interactions. We used the beach chairs, cruiser bikes, lounged on the patio, watched our younger son use a boogie board and play in the ocean right in front of us, with dolphins swimming by - that was a thrill! Both of our sons took a surfing lesson in nearby Huntington Beach (and a seal joined them for the lesson). We spent a day at Disneyland and a day at Universal Studios, and all locations were easily accessible from this location, and it's only about 15 minutes from John Wayne airport too. Plus, we were in town during the Newport Christmas Ships Parade, and seeing those beautiful boats was a real pleasure for my boat-loving husband. This rental was a great location for really enjoying what Newport Beach has to offer and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends. Thank you, Gary!

My family and I had an amazing week in this rental :) The view from the patio was amazing! We utilized the use of the bicycles in the garage every day to cruise to the local piers. All the beds were very comfortable- even the pull out couch. The place was clean and well equipped. Even though I didn't need to contact Gary during our stay, I knew that he was available if we needed anything. We would definitely rent here again.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. I don't think we could have asked for more. There was plenty of space for our 4 adults and 2 children. It was updated, very clean, and well furnished. There were plenty of beach toys, chairs, towels, etc. We didn't need to pack any of the extras to keep the kids happy. The adults spent most of the time on the patio while the kids played on the beach - it worked well for both. The location is great. The owners are very nice, easy to work with, and accomodating.

I don't think there is a better location for a beach vacation available. You can tell by the pictures, no sidewalk, no traffic, just a great time and view. I felt we were more than taken care of by the owners who personally are there for you. They always responded to questions quickly and made our stay worth every penny. You can spend more, you can spend less but you won't find a better vacation spot.....we will be back!!
