We nearly got electrocuted in the showers. An electrician verified that the earth cable was bypassed and not connected in the DB board. The DB board was a total disaster and non compliant. We were all in pain and shock to say the least. There were big rats in the kitchen. The roof leaked all over the top story. One room's shower was not working at all. The stair case is very dangerous and illegal according to safety and building requirements. The stove couldn't work so no cooking facilities. The electricity was off for the whole of Saturday due to the electrician trying to sort it out. They needed access to all the units so we could not join our family for my dad's 80th birthday. My brothers booking through you did not exist and he had to argue and get a unit 7 kilometres from us thus the family was split. In general is ruined our whole weekend. I was very disappointed as we paid a lot to go there. I require a full refund as this just cost us time and money and ruined my dad's special day.

1. Websites' usability poor. Don't state anywhere that you can't drive around the reserve yourself and have to have guided drives. You need to provide this information. 2. We stayed at Bushtime Mabula in Unit 19 Modjaji. Neither your websites nor Booking.com advised us that there were a number of game drive credits per unit. We were four people and when I tried to book drives, we were advised that we had one credit each. After booking, our confirmation showed that we actually had 6 credits for the chalet, not per person. No information about this either on Booking.com, nor your websites. Very confusing. 3.. We missed a game drive as we couldn't find the pick-up location. Your map was not clear and didn't help us at all. Extra signage in the reserve would help. 4. We got lost trying to get to the main lodge as there is insufficient signage showing how to get there from various parts of the reserve. Signage to accommodation good - not to game drive pick-up points or to the Main Lodge.

It's perfect for self catering. It really has everything needed. The location is also great. Well functioning generator and aircon. Friendly antelope and many bird species that roam the area.

They could do better at organizing game drives. Either more vehicles are needed or a cancelation mechanism is needed.
