Really comfy, room was warm on entry, door access worked flawlessly, location was great, phone charge sockets a life saver.

Shower head a bit blocked, as was the drain so built up a bit - whole thing needed a deep clean in nooks and crannies. Never saw any staff so no personal touch though did have a text to check ok and re WiFi. Curb appeal non existent... buy yourselves a new door or paint it !

The best thing about the place is the location. Close to pier and centre.

Upon arrival we realized we could not even enter the main building because is a self service "hotel". Didn't have any common areas like bathroom or storage area and ended up walking 20min uphill with a large luggage to find a rental luggage storage. The room was not as clean as it should be. We found hair on our pillow and the shower had mold and limescale. The lid of the bin was broken, it was missing basics staff like towel hinges, toilet paper hinge etc. And we only had one 30ml combined shower gel with shampoo for 2 people for 3 days! And zero soundproof. Not staying there again

Very comfy, very small, but suitable for my very short partner and I, shower was impressive and the bed was very comfy, provided earplugs and eye mask for the rowdy drunks outside, but hardly heard any of them tbh. Having a microwave and mini fridge right next to the bed to me is a brilliant idea! Did have a fight with the coffee machine but got it sorted. Great location! Very discreet and quiet inside the hotel

The coffee machines catch tray was not emptied from the previous guests and was full of coffee, which upon removing it, did go bit everywhere, I tried my best to clean it so apologises Wasn't an issue for us but more just a caution to other guests. Some floor areas were slightly slanted, so take care especially if you have had a few :)

My partner had asthma as the gaps and crevices in the wood right next to the bed were filled with dust, there was dust all up the wall and on every surface. We also got too hot at night (in Feb!) and there is NO window. Our only option was to open a door 1 inch to a pigeon nest and crisp packets???

It could have been a bit cleaner in the bathroom and the surfaces in the bedroom were not clean. Plus both nights other guests were extremely loud late at night singing , playing music , talking and tvs were very loud until early hours in the mornings.

The walls in the bathroom were not super clean and there was some mold in the bathroom from the shower which was not ideal.

The decor was nice and different, the main thing that drove me to pick this place, and the bed was comfortable with a comforter that I really liked. It was nice to be provided with a microwave and mini fridge, so that we were able to store a little pint of milk for a morning coffee. The location was nice, pretty close to the sea front and just slightly of the Main Street, so that any purchases we made we could easily drop off at the room instead of lugging them around everywhere.

The walls are very thin, to the point that you could easily hear the conversation of other guests walking down the hallway. We were in the room at the front of the building next to the front door, which would slam closed whenever people would walk in and out which was disrupting and caused the wall to shake slightly. The remote to the tv didn’t seem to work, so assuming the batteries were dead, I had to leave on a 10-20 minute trip to get a new set, only for the remote to continue not to work. When our tv randomly started changing channel, volume, and turning off and on, it was clear that someone else had our remote control, this is something that really should have been checked before we arrived. Our toilet roll didn’t get restocked, so again, we had to buy our own stuff. The ceiling of the bathroom was covered in what we suspected was mould, which was very disappointing. I would have liked to shower but didn’t want to be in the bathroom for a long period of time due to the mould.

This hotel is next to at least one late night bar. The noise was ridiculous even when using the ear plugs that were left in the room.

Comfortable and renovated room a few steps from the beach and from The Lanes. Check-in and access is automated (there is no staff at the building) but if you follow the procedures you get via email and SMS everything goes smooth.

Modern and clean. Staff who we spoke to was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Will definitely be staying again and would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Blok-74 in Brighton. It was my first time visiting and was happily surprised at the cute location and how near we were to all the local amenities! The property is walking distance from the waterfront/pier and major streets for a selection of restaurants, cafés and shops! The room was very clean, modern and just the perfect size. It was equipped with everything to make coffee, mini fridge for leftovers and a microwave for reheating! Practical and convenient! We will be staying here again when we visit Brighton!
