The room was beautiful, and privacy was respected. We stayed an extra night, and staff was respectful and patient in giving me time to get up front to renew the room.

The room we had didn't have a working TV, and the spoons are too fragile to stir cool whip.

The location of Avid is great. It's in the Hamburg area near the highway, many restaurants, shopping, etc. The hotel felt safe and was quiet. The staff was friendly and my room accommodated my request at reservation.

I usually don't list anything I didn't like; however, I do have to say that for the price and a new hotel, I was expecting a little more (and I don't really have high expectations).

My husband called to confirm if we could bring our dog and give a heads up. He was given wrong information by a gentleman on 12/28 that the pet deposit is per night when I already knew the website stated per stay when I booked. He called back after I told him this and the man was very rude and said he “already told” my husband it’s “$50 per night” and argued w him. Eventually he looked it up and realized he was wrong. Then asked my husband if he had any other questions in the back of his head. Shame because everyone else at this hotel was sweet as can be and so helpful.

I missed the breakfast.

I don't like the fact that this hotel and another IHG hotel in Lexington charge a $20 surcharge that is not disclosed when booking. I would have considered a different hotel if I had known the entire cost would be $20 more than the offering price.

Very clean and spacious room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was good with a variety to choose from. Premade Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich, fruit, boiled eggs, hot cereal , muffins and bagels. Coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate around the clock.Staff was very friendly.
