I like the water sports and just the friendliness of the staff.

1. Breakfast was not the best 2. There was a matric dance event at night. We couldn't sleep because of the noise. The owner should have communicated in advance about this. 3. There was only one side table. One tissue roll. We felt like we needed to keep asking for things.

Water activities supplied is good fun. Rooms were clean and tidy!

Nothing offered to do after 16h00 and no bar and dinner facilities available!?

Shabby, poor facilities, driveway full of potholes. Generally allowed to go to seed with little apparent involvement of the owner. it desperately needs some TLC. Sold us two cold drinks at R22 each despite clearly being marked with a retail price of R8

Location is fantastic, beautiful views.

There's nobody at the reception desk to receive or assist guests, they're normally all over lodge, ac in our room was leaking water and there's no microwave in the room, you have to ask the staff to warm up your meals, this would be very awkward late in the evening.

Beautiful location with many activities. Restaurant and bar nearby is very convenient. Rooms are clean and spacious.

I am from Australia, visiting with my Mum. The location is exceptional, the river frontage is magical and the gardens, dining areas, pool - just excellent. The room size surprised us, they are big, absolutely spotless, comfortable and had a wooden patio that overlooked the pool and river. The rooms are also quite stylish and the single beds we used, were quality and comfortable. The staff were just so lovely and we got to meet the owners, who were such warm, interesting and lovely people. The location is close to the Wild Coast, but the beach at the river mouth and Leisure Bay close by - were much more fun to visit. I can’t say enough good things about Umtamvuna - highly recommended.
