First time staying at the Sonder in Newport Beach and we loved it! Clean and comfortable room! Did not hear any outside street noise, and close to the beach! Easy check in process. We loved our stay!

Very clean, great location, pleasant crew, Best bed ever!!

Not really any amenities - saw 1 employee. Check in process was difficult. No food service of any kind, not even a vending machine. Limited dining options nearby with limited hours. The room and windows were not clean. Pool was difficult to access. Not a good experience.

Close to the beach and so much to see and enjoy. I will be back loved having restaurant walking distance.

I was very excited about this trip! The location seemed perfect between Newport and Huntington and pretty much one crosswalk from the sand. That being said, I had expected ocean waves to put me to sleep, but I didn’t account for traffic sounds, so be mindful since this is at a busy intersection. Also, at least the unit I had, there wasn’t a closet, just a closet rack. Unfortunately, the air condition unit didn’t work (during a heat wave on a holiday weekend). It was quite an ordeal, and I spoke with no fewer than five Sonder reps over the course of 2 days. They weren’t able to remedy the air conditioning situation so I wasn’t able to actually stay. After serval phone calls, I was able to get my trip refunded. Customer Service was hit and miss. Lobby was gorgeous, but rooms were average. Parking (as with pretty much any beach town) is sparse and tiny. Although not a terrible experience, I’d rather spend my money on an ACTUAL hotel.

Staff was super kind, plenty of parking, pool water was great temperature, and our room was modern and decorated really cute! Location is awesome! The beach is so close, just a block away. An easy quick walk! The one and only complaint I have, is that the floor in our room was super dirty. We were walking around the room barefoot, and all of a sudden noticed the bottom of all our feet were black. We pulled out some wipes and tried cleaning the floor, but no matter how many we used, they still came out dirty. In the end, we just decided to wear shoes or socks while walking around the room. I would definitely stay there again though! Overall a great stay!

Clean room, probably one of the best locations you can find, solid prices, 10/10 will be returning.
