The host is great and knows a lot about everything around. She has great tips. The palace is great, room is huge and the bed super comfortable. The bathroom is very small, but it is functional and somehow expected in a historical place (not much can be added/renovated).

Bathroom was a little unconventional but understandable given that it is in a very old building. it was small but still functional!

The boutique style, friends staff who spent time to give me local recommendations, lots of character and history, great location, and very clean.

While the owners provided instructions, I found it hard to find the gate to drop luggage before parking. Maps directed me to a no access point. I’d recommend checking in with the owners before you arrive to clarify, or to just bring your essentials with you if you’re just staying one night.

Perfect location in town, near everything. My room was very quiet, comfortable and had all that I needed. This medieval building is fantastic and charming. A superb place to stay when you are in this old town. The landlady was kind and helpful.

The location is great, and the fact that is a historic palazzo is great too.

I love quirky historic homes all over Europe, but it needs to be done right. I appreciate you can’t change much in historic homes but the bathroom was very 80s rather than 1200s. This has the potential to be a fantastic b&b but it needs proper investment into the decor and hospitality services.

Location and accomodation were great. Helpfulness of the staff was also impeccable: they suggested us the right parking (outside the city, close to the schools) and reserved us a place for dinner. Umbeatable: definitely suggested.

Amazing location, lovely staff, rooms are comfortable and spacious, great castle with an amazing courtyard.

A mosquito net during the summer would have made the stay slightly better as there were a couple of mosquitos in the room during the night, although it was barely noticeable and still extremely nice.

Superb location and staff very attentive and accommodating - while it was very warm for July the rooms were comfortable

The historic building, the host was great, the room beautiful.

The toilet, though for my exclusive use, with a little down the passage. Not a big problem but needed to be dressed to visit the shower/toilet.

If I could only give ten stars to this place. Living in 1200 year palazzo is a truly unique ´money can’t buy experience.´ The staff is extremely welcoming and professional with the unique approach to each customer. Can’t wait to be back.

Electricity was funny but it is understandable in such an old establishment.

mostly truly antique rooms and furnishing; the real palazzo, with cosy courtyard. the location is in the heart of the medieval town. the host is very knowledgeable and will share detailed information. the experience is well worth it.

the bathroom is very tiny, due to historical preservation restrictions.

location right inside gate was convenient for unloading luggage and seeing San Gimignano.

parking while free was a bit of a struggle to locate & secure.

The staff was amazing, they provided great suggestions and made the stay feel a little more special. The installations and the room were above and beyond. The best stay in town!

Leaving felt like a minor heartbreak, this stay is charming.
