Sun Dog Cottage is a very special spot. Lovely and bright accommodations. I was delighted that the pictures matched the reality (which sadly is often not the case)! The home was well-appointed, cozy, charming, and clean. The host was AMAZING - so communicative and easy to work with. Her welcome basket of local items was a beautiful touch. We will be back.

I don't know what to say about Valerie's lovely cottage, because it went above and beyond my expectations. First, Valerie is a wonderful host. She is so personable, inviting, and incredibly professional. I came here with a girlfriend for a solo mom getaway and it was exactly what we needed- restorative, relaxing, and just a happy place to be. The cottage itself is incredibly comfortable, cozy, and clean. There are personal touches everywhere that Valerie has put in place. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were impeccable. When we checked in there were drinks in the refrigerator and some snacks and fruit for us- really above and beyond. As for the location, Valerie's place is steps to Dillon Beach and the general store and local restaurant. Just a note that the restaurant does close at 7pm and the items in the general store can be pricey, but it's so lovely. The beach allows dogs and Valerie's place is dog friendly, which is amazing. We didn't bring our dog, but I would definitely come back and bring my dog so she can run along the beach. If you're looking for a perfect getaway at the beach in a friendly beach town on the Norcal coast, this place is a gem. Thank you, Valerie for such a wonderful stay.

Absolutely loved the place. Within walking distance to the beach and very close to the Dillon Beach Costal Kitchen restaurant. The cottage was well stocked, very clean and cozy. The beds were fantastic. We highly recommend Sundog Cottage.

We had a great time at Sundog Cottage. Our four legged friends gave it a gold star, they loved the dog friendly beach so much, no leash required. The beach is huge and we spent two hours walking it with our pups every morning. The cottage is equipped with everything you could possible need and Valerie is an amazing host. You do need to be fairly fit and able as the cottage is up a hill from the beach although it’s only a 5mins walk. You can drive down and pay the $10 weekdays and $15 weekend parking rate. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the evenings after exploring the surrounding area and eating lots of yummy seafood. We are Scottish and the area reminded us so much of home. We will definitely return.

We had a great time! A short, pleasant walk thru the small town to the beach. Only regret is that we didn’t bring our dog.

Very cute cottage, clean, well stocked with towels and extremely comfortable bedding. Kitchen is well equipped and comfortable living area to relax. Perfect distance to walk to beach and general store. Lovely place to stay - will return!

Fantastic experience! Great communication and super cute house. Literal two minute walk to the beach. Super quiet and peaceful. Private patio with bbq and cute deck out front for peaceful sitting. Exactly as described and even better than expected!

Sun Dog was so comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The proximity to the beach and great hiking made it a wonderful stay. Valerie was communicative and very thoughtful. We brought out dog Arlo, and appreciated all the little touches to make traveling with him a positive experience. We can't wait to return!

Valerie was an excellent host. She kept In touch with me before, during and after our visit. The cottage is relaxing and perfect for me and my dog. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, but I only needed one bedroom. It was a short walk to the beach. And it is a beautiful beach. We will be back!

Sundog is a very special place to stay in a very special place to visit. Dillon Beach is as funky as it is charming. We needed a quick getaway (our home is only an hour or so away) with our lab Olive after we lost her, and our, buddy Drake. It was just the medicine we all needed. Valeries was great, accommodating, and communicative. Excellent host.

Very cute cottage with a nice front porch and back yard. Valerie was very accommodating and helpful. I was concerned that it might have dog odors but it did not.

Had a lovely time at Sundog. We brought our dog as well. It was great to have a fenced in yard so we could eat our breakfast outside while she played and listened to the birds chirping. Short walk down to the beach, and a convenient general store just down the street for basic food items. would definitely stay again, great getaway :)

Sundog cottage was perfect for our intention of getting away from hectic schedules and get in tune w/ nature and have fun, family bonding time as we prepare to become empty nesters in September. The cottage was the perfect distance from the beach and balanced beach time and cottage time on the deck or preparing delicious healthy meals in the fully equipped kitchen. We became reacquainted with the game clue and were reminded that the simple things can bring great joy!

Our stay was wonderful location great few short clocks to the beach well-stocked unit recently redone owner was very friendly and helpful let us know when there were Whales in the ocean! Generous with support reaching out to check in on us. Highly recommend, hope to stay again.

Cozy, nicely furnished and appointed with updated bath and kitchen. Quiet and quaint neighborhood, walkable to Coastal Kitchen, Dillon Beach General Store and beach access. Host is very helpful and available. We will return!
