It’s well stocked with appliances for cooking and eating and we cooked several yummy meals in the kitchen. We rented whale watch for my mother’s 75th birthday and my siblings and I couldn’t have been happier. The views seriously can’t be beat. We’ve gone to Dillon beach my whole life and this cabin has better, more expansive views than any place we’ve ever stayed. The ping pong table was a huge hit! The only “issue” that did arise has nothing to do with the home or the owner or the property managers - as they were all amazing - but it has to do with the neighborhoods HOA. My brother and his wife were going to go camping after our weekend and so he had his truck camper (the kind that sits on the bed of the truck) on. At about 9pm my mom noticed someone peering into our cars and when she went out the guy took off. Instead of telling us that the HOA doesn’t allow any form of camper in the neighborhood he ran away and called the owner and property managers and probably woke them up. They both called to let us know about the rule and both were very nice about it and told us where he could park it near the neighborhood, which we did immediately. Anyhow - just a warning that the HOA is pretty intense. They also have a very strict “no more than 4 cars” policy per driveway which was fine for us but just know that ahead of renting! Again, on a whole the cabin was incredible and we would definitely rent again!

Would have liked a bottle of purpose cleaner to speed up cleaning in kitchen, knowing we needed to bring dishwasher soap. Knowing we needed to bring detergent for the washing machine. We were provided two units for each machine which was not enough. We left dirty dishes in the machine and we do not do that. Heating each room was a thing. The main room wasn’t an issue but we froze our butts off in the bedroom. Didn’t know we had to turn on the heater by hand. The post they provided inside when we arrived didn’t mention this. Saturday was very stormy and caused interior leaking in the dinning room under the heater unit - something to check Didn’t see a scraper for the grill. So we grilled on a dirty grill Master bed needs to be updated, this bed is noisy and uncomfortable please please update this Couch was amazing View is amazing

When we walked into the Whale Watch the 1st thing we noticed was the gorgeous view. The living room, dining room & kitchen open concept was our favorite part of this house. We had a great time celebrating the New Year.

Clean, equipped with all we needed, fabulous views. Will consuder cominfmd again for a friends, family retreat!

We decided to gather for an early Thanksgiving. It was a perfect 3 days! Whale Watch is a comfortable, lovely home. 3 minutes to Dillion Beach, which was fantastic! This house had everything needed for a relaxing, enjoyable escape!

Send list of broken/damage we noticed upon arrival to Wine Country reps that reached out to us. Also, compost can was filled with both compost and recyclables when we arrived. Trash people didn’t put it out on Tuesday either. We only filled garbage and recycle can since didn’t want to add to issue. Otherwise enjoyed our stay. Nothing broken impinged on our stay just noticed. House was really nice with well stocked kitchen with very nice pots and pans. Really enjoyed ourselves. Sue Neves

My family and I also loved the spa and enjoyed playing many of the games downstairs - there was something to appeal to every age group. The one disappointment was that the kitchen was missing some basic cooking equipment(measuring spoons and cups, mixing bowls, etc.)

The property was nice. We enjoyed our stay. The only one thing that was an issue is the back door, it was hard to lock and the hydraulic is in the middle of the door and my husband hit his head a few times. We hung a towel on it to remind us to duck as it is pretty low for anyone 6”or higher. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for renting to us.

Whale watch has beautiful views of the beach and ocean. A deck for enjoying the ocean air and views and watching for deer and rabbits. Nice updated and comfortable furniture throughout the house. Well-stocked kitchen for cooks - we like to cook and usually bring a few of our must have kitchen tools but other than our favorite knife we would have been fine with what was available. Plenty of board games and game room with ping pong for entertainment. We enjoyed a walk down to the beach - 15-20 downhill then a great uphill exercise walk on the return. Hosts were great communicators. The power in town went out while we were there and the hosts reached out quickly to offer support. We had already found the flashlights and were good to go. Definitely bring beach towels for beach and hottub.

We came to town to see our son graduate from his Coast Guard training in Petaluma. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful family vacation at this lovely home over the 4th of July holiday. The house itself is very comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds were all comfortable. The view is awesome and the description of the listing was completely accurate. It had a great bbq grill as well as a nice hot tub. When we arrived, we noticed ants in part of the kitchen. By the next day, they were all over the central island. But mysteriously, they pretty much disappeared by that evening, and did not return. The only downsides of our stay were that while we had 10 people, we only had bathroom linens for 8 and there were no extras. Also, we could not get the fireplace to work despite many tries. Otherwise, the vacation was wonderful and we would definitely consider a repeat performance at the Whale Watch house.

This trip was amazing, beautiful property and an amazing weekend with the family.

Overall a good stay the house was clean but needs some upkeep upstairs toilet needs to be tightened up basement bathroom window wouldn’t close completely screen doors are hard to open and close downstairs one especially screens have holes and some are missing. House was well stock with cook ware and dishes. Maybe nice to have a washer and dryer installed. All in all we had a good stay

This is a beautiful home. Fully furnished with pretty much everything you could need in the kitchen. Fun games to play, some parts missing, but workable. The views are amazing and if you are looking for a quiet property with. beautiful views, this is it! The staff was helpful in helping with any questions and even reached out to confirm we had everything we needed. There’s only a few concerns we had.: The driveway is scary steep. I might not have stayed, had I known about this driveway. I have a low vehicle and this was not the property for my car. It caused me much anxiety when thinking about leaving the property to venture outside. I would recommend to the staff that they fix the shower handle on the main bathroom shower. It was extremely loose and needs repair. The staff should also consider new shower mats. The current ones do not stick well and cause slipping when you step on them. We also had to time our showers, so we all had hot water. That was disappointing. I’m sure the staff will correct those issues once I’ve sent my review. Thank you for a great time and relaxing property.

This property worked out great for us. Lots of room and nice amenities.

It rained most of our weekend stay but the house had so many amenities it didn't matter and was still a great vacation. The only drawback was the shower in the master bath - take caution when stepping down the stairs and into the shower as it can be slippery.

This house is actually better than the pictures. Very clean, wonderful views and a great fireplace. Sunsets in the hot tub with wine are where it's at. The management was also very accommodating with our dogs, which was a huge plus. My only word of caution is that the dogs have to go downstairs to potty, which was a bit of a challenge for our senior Sheppard. She still loved it though. We highly recommend this home.

We had a fantastic time! Our group of 3 couples enjoyed our stay tremendously. Definitely coming back!

Last minute getaway with my family to enjoy some sunshine. The house was beautiful and very warm and welcoming. The views are outstanding! We have a 10 year old and a 9 month old and the set up was perfect for having a baby. We set up her play area in the living room and just enjoyed her and the views. The hot tub has a beautiful view too!! The kitchen is nicely equipped as well. We were having such a great time we ended up booking another night the day of check out and the process was extremely easy. The only issue we had was what we assume are raccoons kept breaking into the trash no matter how we secured it. Clean up in the mornings was usually filled with we thought we heard something! They’re so fast! It was actually a funny topic throughout the trip. It’s a saved property for me and we will definitely be visiting again.

Was completely satisfied with our stay. Our only "complaint" is that there is no washer and dryer. There is a "space" for these items in the downstairs, please fill it. For a family to stay for any length of time, I would call this a must have for your property. A hand held juicer would be great in the kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed the gas fireplace (add to listing) in the living room, and had fun with playing games in the garage. Thanks again.

The property was very clean and we arrived to Christmas carols playing and a nice little gift basket, which was very thoughtful. The house is laid out nicely with plenty of room for everyone. The game room was a big hit with everyone. However, the highlight of the property was the view. It never gets old, looking out to views of the Pacific. Just beautiful. The only recommendation is for a few more supplies in the kitchen. We couldn't find measuring spoons, which maybe they accidentally walked off with a previous guest? There were plenty of plates, silverware and glasses, but serverware was a bit thin. If someone is planning on a feast, he/she might consider bringing some supplies. However, this did not detract from our stay. Overall, this rental is fantastic!
