The property was tired and dirty, there were dead bugs inside and dog poo on the back lawn. The pool had a lot of dead bugs too.
It was comfortable, and, the linen was clean, and lots of space for a big family/group to spread out in.

The whole place was amazing. Felt like arriving to a holiday resort. Plenty of room for everyone. Safety issues with children and pools were very well adressed. Felt safe. Pool area could have used an update to make it even more luxurious.
There was a construction site next door but it did not bother us that much. The overall look had aged a bit from the pictures but we enjoyed our stay anyway.

Nice house with lots of space and everything you need for a family stay. The pool was great entertainment for the kids and the spa was nice and relaxing for the adults.

Plenty of space and rooms. Lively pool and spa. Great heating. But unfortunately after a few nights we discovered the place was full of fleas. Everyone got bitten and spent one of the days vacuuming the hole house several times and stripping beds and washing sheets etc. A number of large cockroaches also running around. Our overseas family also found these critters went with them in their suitcases to our next destination. When we phoned the property manager they didn’t seem to care. I pity the next visitors that stayed the night we left as I’m sure nothing would have been done about it. The place needed fumigating.

We chose this property because it had the spa and pool and the amount of beds we needed. A couple of the ladies were thrilled with the pool the rest of us enjoyed the spa. It wasn't hot enough though and none of us knew how to turn it up. We thought it must have been on a timer as the temperature was warm the first afternoon, but not warm enough later in night.
A nice comfortable home. Enough space to be alone or come together. Great big dining room for games and dining. Comfortable lounge. A couple of things weren't available in the kitchen we thought were basic kitchen equipment but have left a note, so hopefully that's been rectified. All in all a lovely stay.

Enjoyed our stay here. We went for the swimming pool and spa. There was an issue with the pool which was disappointing so missed a couple of swims. Overall though, we had a wonderful stay, Back Break were awesome with follow up in reply to emails. Lovely big home and all you need for a comfortable stay

Wonderful large property. Perfect for ourselves, our daughter and her bridesmaids to prepare for a Taranaki wedding.
2 large bathrooms, full kitchen, large living areas. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Although it was ok, it’s old and things have deteriorated a lot. Cleanliness of bedding was great, but floors not so much. Left over spills of previous guests not cleaned. If your standard isn’t high it will be fine.

We (partner, 4x kids and myself) had our parents with us as we attended a family members 80th birthday in Waitara. The pool, separate tv rooms, and quiet location was just what we needed.
Definitely recommend and would book again.

Home away from home, all the creature comforts of home plus more, our adult kids loved the heated pool and spa and the whole house is very spacious, thank you for allowing our dog, Bella to stay she also loved this place. all in all, money well spent

Four ladies stayed during the Taranaki Garden Festival. Perfect location for us. Having four bedrooms with comfortable beds was much appreciated. First impressions however are of an untidy pathway and garden plus the exterior had many cobwebs. The inside smelled musty so we immediately opened all the windows. These issues can be easily rectified. Would return again as the home is spacious inside, clean and well equipped.

We had a Grandparents and granddaughters stay at this lovely property. We needed to be close to our son and daughter in law and other granddaughters and this place was just a street away so perfect. The spaciousness was just a start, everything you need and more. Hot indoor spa and heated indoor pool. Absolutely fabulous. Comfy furniture and beds. Loved every minute and would have loved more nights.
