Het hotel voelt als een soort chalet, alles mooi van hout. De kamer was erg groot en mooi gestyled. We hebben hier heerlijk geslapen. Personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Onze gids en chauffeur moesten ‘s ochtends op ons wachten. Zij haalden ze binnen en gaven ze een ontbijtje. Echt de Sri Lankaanse gastvrijheid.

We waren hier met oud en nieuw en hadden stiekem gehoopt dat er nog iets kleins, iets speciaals gedaan werd voor de gasten, maar het hotel leek die avond uitgestorven ;)

View from the room was amazing. Enjoyed sunrise. Location is 50M from tea garden of Pedro, 1KM away from Gregory lake. Breakfast was very elaborate and staff was very courteous. Considering Nuwara Eliya's weather to be cold, this room was equipped with heater as well making it very comfortable. Overall our stay was great!

Huge family room was really cosey. Well decorated and charming. Fine breakfast and really attending staff.

We really liked the hotel, probably one of the best we stayed in Sri Lanka. Very nicely furnished rooms, clean, good bathroom. The location is also excellent, in a quiet place. The hotel staff is very kind and friendly, ready to help with everything.

I didn't like only two things. This is a large number of flies in the room and a very poor breakfast for your money.

Desayuno no incluido en el precio de la habitación. Precio bastante elevado comparado a demás precios de alojamientos en Sri Lanka donde incluían desayuno en la reserva.

Wir waren zu viert dort, konnten im Aufenthaltsraum Musik hören, Spiele spielen, was trinken hat keinen gestört. Sehr tolle Einrichtung, wahnsinnig nettes und witziges Personal, wunderschöne Zimmer. War bisher die schönste Unterkunft in sri lanka von 9 in denen ich bisher insgesamt war.

Es gab Probleme mit dem Kartelesegerät, was wohl bekannt ist. Da hab ich mich etwas aufgeregt weil sie davor nichts gesagt haben und wir dann unser letzte Geld irgendwie zusammen kratzen mussten weil wir davon ausgegangen sind, dass man mit Karte zahlen kann bzw ich extra gefragt hatte und dann ging das Gerät nicht. Und wir wollten zusammen gemütlich noch was trinken dort, sie haben leider keine Genehmigung zum verkaufen also mussten wir in den Supermarkt (der ist allerdings nicht weit weg) sonst war alles tip top

I liked the host - David very much . He was very hospitable and did so well with explaining and guiding us around. The property was beautiful , the room was clean and amenities was perfect . Everything was nice

The room and bed are very confortable and clean, also the staff very friendly and helpful. Very good price/benefit rate.

We expected to have outdoors with a view from the house and we didn't find it.

The sheets were dirty with dried love juices on them from the previous couple. When windy it is very noisy from rattling screens on balcony.

A bit far from the center of town

On our roadtrip around SriLanka we stayed at CIR for one night. CIR is located in a nice area with panoramic views of some beautiful mountains. The hotel staff was very kind and did everything to make us feel good. Dinner at CIR was very nice. Breakfast was okay-ish; nobody told us the variety they had to offer. We got traditional english breakfast but they also served Sri-Lanka breakfast which we would have preferred. This is not a big issue but it would have been nice if they had asked us. The rooms were very well equipped. We recommend CIR for a stay in Nuwara Eliya anytime.

The hotel staff was very kind to us. It was a cold day due to weather change in the country and they lit the fireplace for us and we played cards and listened to music from the gramophone by the fire!. They treated us well. They have decorated our rooms with some locally available roses and other flowers. The Villa hotel is very welcoming and beautiful. We watch both cricket (LPL) and Football world cup matches on the room TV. Breakfast was tasty and I could not forget the lunu-miris we got for milk rice!

We had a wonderful stay at the CI Residence for two nights during 9 and 10 December 2022. Easy access from the town with a beautiful winding but a proper wide road up to the Villa. Google Maps allowed us to come in front of the Hotel with out any trouble. They have displayed three directional boards so the finding was not an issue at all. We were so happy to stay in the beautiful place with natural wooded cladded walls. Bed was so comfortable and we had a good night sleep. Host has kindly arranged the fire place for both evenings so the whole family had a memorable evening with loads of photos. Due to the mist experienced, we were unfortunate to see the exquisite views of mountains and specially the Adams peak, but in-room and the large TV at the dinning area gave us all live cricket and football matches to watch. We found the room was clean, friendly staff and delicious food as we took all three meals from the CI Residence.

It was our pleasure to stay at this Villa Hotel. Excellent service from the arrival to check out. The staff has been friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Villa and furniture was new and clean. CIR is placed at a nice location overlooking a vast amount of mountains and a beautiful tea estate. Balcony from room had a very beautiful view. The bed was king size and comfortable to sleep. They freely provided hairdryers, slippers, large towels, toiletries, and all amenities, you may need. Free Wi-Fi works perfectly. Private parking is available on site. Evening at the fire place was amazing with gramophone music. We stayed one night and can highly recommend it to any traveler.

Nuwaraeliya is cold in the evening, but there is a fire place you can enjoy a family evening.

Easy access with directions boards, beautiful natural wood fit out, exquisite views of mountains, clean rooms, friendly staff and delicious food.

Not really, since it has a few cycles tracks and walking trails nearby, it would have been better if CI Residence could arrange some bicycles for the guests. When I talked to the caretaker he said those will be arranged soon as the country is now opening up and tourists are coming.
