I had a great experience at this hotel. Everything was great and the oatmeal was delicious.

When traveling to Puerto Rico Double Tree is always my first choice

My stay was fabulous!! The location is great , staff super nice, the food at the cafe was delicious! I can’t not say anything bad about this place. Highly recommended and will definitely be going back. I have a house in Puerto Rico and would still return. The convenience of the proximity to everything is well worth it!!!

I have to say the staff were extremely courteous and professional. Everything from check-in to check-out was perfect. Worth the money. Food at Pierre Cafe was excellent it was very convenient.

The Doubletree was a great hotel. The 24 hour market across the street, nearby beach and multiple restaurants on the area were all a plus. There’s an on-site restaurant that I didn’t try but seemed to have a constant flow of customers throughout my stay so I’ll assume it’s good lol. They also offered a ride to the beach which included free beach chairs and umbrella. The only small issues was 3 different holds being placed on my card (which was expected but as one charge not 3) and during our time of departure the valet couldn’t find our rental key for about 15 minutes which was a little nerve wrecking bc we had an early flight. Other than those two small things we really enjoyed the hotel and our stay at the Doubletree.

Love this hotel. I am thinking of going back to PR and it will be at this hotel . I was there for 3 days . It wonderful!!!

The Doubletree is located in the Condado neighbourhood but not in an especially charming setting. The Asford avenue, however, is only 5 minutes walk away and the vibrant Santurce area is also close. A taxi to old town will cost you 20 USD, and Uber 12-15. As a plus - if you need to buy groceries etc. - there is a mayor supermarket just in front of the hotel. The common areas of the hotel are generally nice. Be aware,though, that pool is minuscule and can get extremely crowded. There is a transport service to the beach, where you can get sunbeds and sunshades, but it is faster to walk. The beach is nice and sea wonderful, although signs advise you not to swim due to currents. Service at the hotel is uneven depending on staff member and area. Some staff members were never told to great guests, it seems. Others (bar/restaurant for example) are very friendly. At this price point I have experienced much better. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Be aware, though, that some of the beds in rooms with two beds are “murphy beds”. As in other hotels in Puerto Rico they will charge you a “resort fee” on top of the room rate. We ended paying 300 USD a night (without breakfast) in August - it did not feel as great value for money for a hotel with a 3,5 star feel to it. Recognising, though, that San Juan is among the priciest destinations in the Caribbean.

Hotel looked great, very modern. Loved that I could walk over to the adjoining dining options. Had no issues with the room itself. Having a room next to an ice maker was a lot less peaceful than other areas of the hotel. If you’re on the ground floor the activity by the pool can be loud as well. Great for a short or longer stay.

Excellent place to stay. Only two problems: There was a mix up that a worker gave away our room to someone else after we told them we would be landing at 0200 in the morning. They put us in a downgraded room until the morning. Then when we tried to get our proper room, a clerk that acted like he was a manager didn't want us to get our room and tried to block it. His coworkers worked something out anyway (I don't think they liked him too much...) Wasn't the room we ordered (King bed /Balcony, but it was nice. rest of the staff, especially the night guys, were awesome. If it wasn't for the one jack@ss, they would've gotten 5 stars. Would've liked to have gotten our room though. We were thinking about returning for a birthday soon, but....

this place was amazing. quiet and they serve cookies to welcome you what a great plus!!. me and my girls loved our stay. the front desk person outside william was the best there can be he was amazing with helping us around.

We always like staying here. Check in and out is always quick and easy. If there’s a problem, the staff is quick to fix it! Walking distance to “the strip” lots of things to see and eat right around the corner. They will drive you to the beach where you get chairs and towels. 24 hour supermarket across the street!

Pool area had a continuous fowl odor of mildew and needs more attention/monitored by hotel staff. Also, I suffer with allergies and smelled heavy mildew/damp orders in the carpet areas of the hotel, such as the hallways which is attributed to wet persons coming from the pool or beach. Because of allergies, I would not select this hotel again. However, Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

Loved the Pool/Game area (Open 24 Hours); but hated the bathroom doors (See-through).

Great location!!! Supermarket right across the street from hotel Plenty of restaurants close by Uber cost 3-6 US dollars to get around Beach 1 min away And have a cart to take you there and back Pool area is nice Pool is small Jacuzzi is small also But great stay

Charged my card unauthorized

I stayed here for a week and truly enjoyed my stayed, everyone was very welcoming, my room was always cleaned. The lobby and rooms were clean and modern, Our bar tender Omar was truly sweet and made us the best drinks. They have an underground parking level which we used for our car rental, you are central to airport, 10 minutes from Old San Juan and la placita. We were close enough to the beach but away from the big tourist crowd, we had quiet nights and the pool was usually empty. I will return here again. Thank you!!!
