This hotel is a treasure. It is so well maintained . It has history and is preserved to showcase it. Staff is wonderful and professional. The Cathay room is outstanding and the views are amazing. The Jazz bar is so wonderful ! I will always return when I pass through Shanghai.

Peace Hotel didn't disappoint me, as Shanghainese who I always wanted to experience it, I am very satisfied what I booked and what I choose. Service is good. Room is big and surprisly clean and well maintained. I hope will go back again and stay there.

Super comfortable bed, large washroom (really enjoyed the bathtub and Dyson hairdryer), excellent buffet breakfast! Location was also great, and we could enjoy the nighttime bund view from our window.

I have stayed at many 5 star hotels worldwide and at least another six fabulous 5 star hotels in Shanghai. I consider The Peace Hotel to be the best of them.
An upgrade to executive level is well worth the extra as their food, snack and drink selection is excellent.

The service is very good, including the attitude of the employees, the rooms are spacious and the bed is quite comfortable, check-in was fast. Some things that we didn't like I don't think we will return to the hotel; Between the bathroom tiles it had a black line of dirt, we were a family of 6, the elevator barely fit and the prices were exaggeratedly high for food, wonton soup that is commonly available for 20 yuan there, it was sold for 188, 5 yuan soda had it for 55 yuan, we know that because it is a 5-star hotel the prices are higher but to such an extent it is not justifiable.

This is a hotel full of history, charm and elegance. I stayed here with my wife and two kids (14 and 12) and loved it. The location is superb. After being in too many five stars hotels in China I can confidently say that here one meets the best English speaking staff that one can ever encounter in hotels in this country. My only criticism is that the breakfast buffet was biased towards the Chinese taste buds, however, the overwhelming majority of the guests where Chinese so one cannot really complain.

The hotel is very stylish and represents the old-fashion Shanghai perfectly. Living in this hotel is like a romantic odyssey back into the time. Location-wise it’s right on conjunction of the Bond and the shopping district of Shanghai, which makes it a top choice for leisure in the city.

Hotel is in a very dangerous area. Every time I walked outside I was surrounded by scammers, thieves and robbers. However, in my experience, this is true for most of Shanghai.
