For the price, the offer is really too simple. No coffee, no free water in the room. No sanitary kit or lotion in room. Its basically just a bed and a bathroom. Okay for a hostel or discount hotel. But this is not and its pricy and hotel is very old. Very clean, though.

We arrived early and appreciated storing our many pieces of luggage until our rooms were prepared. The location was great for both walking and going to a trolly stop. Would stay again.

Loved the room size, could comfortably spread out and relax. Perfect location eith easy access to trams/buses and walking to just about everything. Quiet and peaceful too. Only complaint was how hard it was to keep the room cool in October without having to crack open the windows. Otherwise, we would have suffocated.

Easy access to town. Good service. Special thanks for David and reception guy who kindly helped me with opening the locked lugagge. Very nice to get coffee and tea full day free.

It is a bit far from the Basel train station but the tram number 8 can take you nearby, hotel host upgraded my room to a bigger size on top floor, while you cannot imagine it is a big hotel from outside, good bathroom with enough hot and water pressure, easy to reach most of the Basel old town attractions

The absolutely lovely receptionist stayed on to let me in as my flight was delayed and I got there just after 11pm. The hotel itself was great, walking distance from the old town, clean, tidy and a really comfortable bed, duvet and pillows.
The phone number listed for the hotel though is not in use when you call it so this may need updating.

Hotel Rochat is in an unbeatable location—central and well-connected. The hotel is spacious, and the breakfast is very good. The staff provides friendly and attentive service. Additionally, guests receive a city mobility card upon check-in. Excellent.

The location is very convenient, the hotel has various sizes of rooms, the breakfast is excellent, and the most important the receptionist Mr.Joao Teixeira is extremely helpful, kind and highly professional!

Clean and convenient hotel close to Basel's brilliant tram and bus links. They upgraded us for free, which was nice too.
We didn't go for breakfast as it seemed a bit expensive - but I think it was par for the course in Basel.

The hotel is right in the city center with quick access to the Rhein and area attractions. There is also a tram stop nearby. The hotel staff is great and very accommodating.

Our flight was delayed several hours, but the front desk was ready for our party of six with a very smooth check-in process. The rooms are all quite unique. I booked three rooms of the same type, and all had their own charm. The breakfast had so many options, and was very good. Coffee was available all day which is nice. Without being able to know exactly what we were booked into, the hotel was a pleasant surprise.

Lovely place to stay and visit Switzerland. Very hospital staff & locale. Easy to move around & so glad we picked this place as we got to enjoy a bit of local life. Nice restaurants around for dinners.

The hotel was located very close to Basel attractions and it is also between Basel Bad and Basel SBB. The Basel Card ,offered by the hotel , makes it very convenient to explore the city and area.

While it took me a moment to find the entrance (Google maps sends you the back way) it turns out the hotel is quite easy to find and is near local transit. It is a charming older hotel with nice rooms and great helpful staff.

We were welcomed warmly by staff and walked to our room with information and explanations along the way. Room was large, nice and bed was comfortable. Easy walk to our cruise boat dock. Easy walk to tram and bus stop. Staff was helpful with directions. Coffee available for purchase in the morning if not purchasing breakfast buffet. Wonderful stay in Basel.

Good, clean hotel a short walk from the old-town of Basel. The staff was accommodating and helped us change rooms due to an issue with the first room we were assigned. Overall, the hotel was comfortable and met our needs.

The Hotel Rochat was a great place to stay. It is right by the downtown and in a quiet part of town. The room was clean and big even by US/ Canadian standards. Bathroom had good water pressure and lots of hot water.
We were in Basel for a 2 night-night stay and just scratched the surface as to what this city has to offer. I would have no hesitation about staying here again.
We did not use the breakfast option but coffee and tea were available from 11am - 9pm.

The staff was exceptional, getting us into our rooms early and helping with my phone issue. The breakfast was way above expectations. The room was very clean and the only sound we heard was the ringing of the bells on Ash Wednesday from the church next door. Short walk to catch the #3 tram. Would highly recommend.
